Just The Right Touch; Finely Milled, Useful Ball

I got the 10.5oz resealable bag of Z Athletic Loose Chunky Chalk with a 2oz refillable ball because I lift weights. At times, my hands get a hint on the sweaty side, and I don't always want to wear gloves for certain sets. Sometimes a little dusting of chalk will do. For ~$15, you get a generous portion of high quality (non-toxic, fragrance-free), finely milled loose chalk, and a suitably sized, refillable 100% white cotton sock. It comes prefilled and has a secure closure, and just the right touch of chalk seeps out to coat my hands. Easy clean up too. I do wish the plastic bag it all came in had a better seal. I'm concerned I'll end up spilling chalk everywhere. But seeing as I'm mainly using the ball to dust my palms, I guess it is ok. The included plastic spoon is on the flimsy, cheap side. The cord and toggle closure on the ball work well, but the opening and closing of the collar to refill it is a little tricky. It comes prefilled, so I haven't labored with it too much. Overall, I got what I expected and am pleased with the use and quality.

Great for lifting/pullups!

My crossfit gym stopped putting out buckets of chalk due to the pandemic, so I decided to get my own. Lifting heavy or doing pullups without chalk rips up my hands. I love this chalk! It is very similar to the chalk my gym used to have. It is a mix of smooth chalk and some chunkier pieces. There's a little chalk ball inside as well. I have used it for all sorts of barbell lifts, pullups, toes to bar, etc, and my hands feel great. I would recommend putting some of the chalk from plastic bag in which the chalk comes into a chalk bag. I'm sure this chalk would work well for climbing too.

Keeps hands dry

The Z Athletic Chunky Chalk and Optional Refillable Chalk Ball worked great at a climbing gym. I liked that they also included the chalk ball so I didnt have to have loose chalk in my chalk bag which makes quite a mess. The frain was fine and worked well to wick the moister from my hands while I visited the climbing gym back at home.

Great for refills on chalk socks

My son is in ninja class and uses chalk in every class, so this was great to have as a refill. He doesn't go thru chalk real fast so I think this bag will last a long time.

Great for my needs

Decent chalk for weightlifting, pull-ups, muscle ups, etc. Never used it for climbing. Strings are convenient to hang from something in the gym while you move through the workout. Does leak a good amount of chalk on the floor every time you use it. Gets the job done though, one bag has lasted a couple of months now, and I workout 5 days awesome. Side note... I dont use an excessive amount of chalk when I workout like some people. But overall good value for the money.

No chalk ball

My gymnasts loves Z-Athletic products. We have purchased a ton of their chalk balls over this past year and decided this time to get the loose chalk with the refillable ball, however all that was delivered was the loose chalk. There was no refillable ball included. So disappointing :(
