Very bad fit, way too small

Bothers me to write a negative review, but it is earned. I bought the XL size Yukon Charlie's gaiters, flew abroad with them packed for the hunt. Upon reaching my very distant destination, I unpacked and immediately tried these on. I'm six feet tall, a bit overweight, formerly very athletic with tree trunk legs. All other Men's XL socks and shoes products fit me, but these gaiters did not even close on the top of my calf, the thinnest part of the leg. Totally non fitting, not even close. They lacked any extra material for making adjustments. I gave them to the young ghillie.
