Definitely different but in a pleasant way. I found it to be intriguing and educational regarding a period of time in the early 20th century when life was less complex in many ways, but far more complicated in others. It was a time when class distinction was everything and where people who were "different" were viewed with disdain at best. The story reveals how a group of individuals came together and formed a family of sorts and exhibited qualities of caring that far exceeded those of the elite that surrounded them. Not to be missed.

Wood Oval Platter

I purchased a set of 12 of these 12" Oval Wood Platters. They are well made, out of solid wood! The design is very good having an indention on both ends for carrying them. These wood platters are hard to find! I searched all over the web for these, then I said well let's try Amazon and bingo, they had it. I should have gone to Amazon in the first place!

You get what you pay for

This product does it's job of protecting surfaces from a hot serving plate. Other than that, it is very light and cheaply made with a non-durable finish that I view as very low quality. Nothing to impress your guests here.
