Heavy - built like a tank

What can I say? This is a great extension. . .it is very solid. If you want heavy duty, this is it. If you want your inserted bit held tight, this will do it. The price difference between a quality manufacturer like Wera and some of the mainstream stuff isn't very substantial. . .and you aren't nearly as likely to have to replace this item because it snaps in half under stress - something a cheap extension may be more prone to do.

So Strong.

Good solid bit holder, it holds the bit so strongly you need a plier to take it out. No fear of losing your bit but cumbersome when changing bits.

Excellent locking feature

Excellent locking feature. Way stronger hold on bit than the magnetic only type, but same narrow profile, unlike the traditional full locking type.

Yep, incredibly tight

I love Wera gear and have a lot of it but other reviews are right about the tightness of the bit retention. I can't get a bit out with my hands or a pair of pliers. I had to resort to locking pliers to hold the bit tight enough to get it out. For some that will understandably be a problem but I don't think it's a quality issue, as someone else suggested. I haven't used it in anger, yet, but I'm going to view it as a plus, for now anyway. I was thinking I'd need a locking holder as well but this thing is so ridiculously tight that there ain't no way the bit is coming out unintentionally. I'm assuming that it will loosen up with use but I'm unlikely to use it often enough for that to happen soon. Even for Wera it's too expensive for what it is and, at this price, it should be perfect but if you find it on sale, as I did, and don't mind the retention it's as good as a locking bit holder without the extra width and very well made so it may be the best of both worlds.

Strong but not unreasonable grip.

The bits are held in place strongly in this bit holder. They can just about be taken out by hand but if I was working with a lot of different bits and swapping them out every few secs/mins, they I would just pull them with a pliers to save my "office hands" from getting burn/wear. Some may view this as a negative; I view it as a positive. Having a holder with a poor grip on the bits is a strong negative for me. So, this appears to be a well made piece of kit / has the look of quality I would expect for the price and from the minor use I have made of it, it works well. If I change my opinion in the coming months, I will revise my review.

The length is ideal for when space is a problem. Together with a slightly shorter one my drill screw driving is complete.

1-Stern Bewertung aufgrund stramm sitzenden Bits ungerechtfertigt!

The media could not be loaded. Die Wera Bitverlängerung macht einen wirklich sehr hochwertigen Eindruck. Die Bits sind tatsächlich sehr stramm drin, aber das steht nunmal auch in der Beschreibung, deshalb kann ich eine 1-Stern Bewertung nicht nachvollziehen! Da ich gelesen habe, das sich einige beschwert haben wegen dem Rundlauf, habe ich ein kleines Video dazu angeheftet. Der Rundlauf ist tatsächlich nicht perfekt, aber das ist auch so gut wie nicht möglich, aufgrund der enormen Länge, dem geringen Durchmessers und der Tatsache das es nie zu 100% zentriert eingespannt sein wird im Futter, wer aus dem Metall-Bereich kommt weiß wovon ich rede. Alles in einem bin ich zufrieden mit dem Produkt und würde es wieder kaufen.
