I've tried several lines, including the Oregon Gator line, Echo and Stihl line. I've not found any line so far, that's impervious to welding, even this one. But for speed and ease of use, durability, economics, I really like the .095" Weed Warrior Pulverizer line the best. I have used about 600 ft of this line this last mowing season. I use it in an Echo SRM-225 straight shaft trimmer with the Echo Speed-Feed head. Its great for all around trimming, strong and resilient against chain link fences, durable for sidewalk edging and trimming, easy to feed and fast to reload your (Speed-Feed) spool. Occasionally it will weld, but not very often. Usually when that happens, its usually an indication that the head needs to be cleaned. [A side note: the Echo Speed Feed head is a very nice, easy to use head. But it does require a little maintenance to keep it working smoothly. When it gets to the point of not feeding freely and requiring manual feeding, I remove it from the trimmer, disassemble it, soak all the plastic parts in water for 20-30 minutes, scrub the hardened grass residue off with a brush and non-metalic scouring pad, rinse and blow dry with an air compressor, lightly lube meeting surfaces with WD40, reassemble and reinstall. It will then feed easily and work fine for months thereafter.] The Pulverizer line feeds very well; takes only a gentle tap (if I keep my head clean). And buying it by this 750' spool for $26, is more than 50% less than buying the line locally (including local sales tax). All lines tested were .095 line: Stihl line is pretty good line, but not cheap. Echo line seems to be similar quality as Pulverizer, but costs considerably more. Oregon Gator line was a real hassle to use; constantly jammed in my spool, required constant manual feeding (in spite of head being clean) and that I drill out my spool, but I didn't want to take a chance in damaging my spool or voiding the warranty. I may try another line in the future, but for now, I'm sold on Weed Warrior Pulverizer line. Its good stuff. You can't go wrong with it. .095 750' WW Pulverizer Spool
