Great Quality, needs one tweak to be perfect.

Just received the case and the quality is apparent as soon as I opened the package. I ordered 3 different types of Travelon RFID passport cases for the family and everyone is made with the same quality standard. I ordered another leather passport case for another family member and the quality doesn't even compare to the Travelon. Very satisfied with product quality. Has room for 5 credit cards and also has a bookmark ribbon. I have my passport inserted so when the case is opened my photo page is displayed. I assumed this is how the case is intended to be used. When the case is in the closed position it actually stays open about an inch or so when at rest. It doesn't do this without the passport. I have experienced this with various other passport holders. The case won't stay closed tight on its own, or any case for that matter. I use a nice red rubber band to wrap around the case and keep it closed tight. Adds a little flair and helps identify it from the other 2 black ones I have for the family. US passports are most vulnerable when they are open. You can position the passport in this case where it would be safe even when open. I wish it was the standard configuration but its not. (See #2 below) That would involve inserting the front cover(and only the front cover) of the passport into the area behind the credit card holders where the back of the passport would normally go. You can then bookmark you identification page with the ribbon and the passport would be protected even when opened. The only inconvenience is you would open the case from the back instead of the front; passport would be installed upside-down I guess is the best way to describe it.. Hard to describe but visually it will make sense. Not giving a 5 star for two reasons: 1. I am not sure of the long term durability of the product but I am very confident this won't be an issue as I stated the quality is very good. 2. Not having a complete RFID shielded area for the front cover of the passport (when opened) behind the clear page cover that your ID page slips into. Installing the passport in this holder still makes it vulnerable when open. Having an extra sleeve would complete shield the RFID chip completely protecting it while open. To my knowledge, no passport holders on the market have this feature and I am not sure why.

Decent price and quality.

Here is my assessment having just received this passport case. For the price which is about same as what I paid for on a plain RFID sleeve from REI recently (which felt flimsy) this case would appear to last much longer. The REI one cost almost $10 and after couple times passport in and out already looked ragged. As for RFID blocking, I cannot vouch for either one since I have no device to measure or test. But faith counts on both items and I certainly hope that they work as advertised. Here is what I like about this one: Price is decent compared to many on Amazon and I do not need ultra fancy ones. Quality seems to be better than just paper (aluminum) sleeve. The added bonus is it has 5 credit cards slots (though I recommend not even bother to use the lowest one since when inserted vertically the card will be totally inside that slot and hard to retrieve). I only used the top 2 slots which is good enough for my purpose since I do not want to make the case TOO bulky. I also like the case is just a tad bigger than passport itself since I do not want a gigantic portfolio case that one can put everything under the sun into it. I am using it strictly for RFID protection and maybe couple credit cards which also have IC chips to be protected. That's it for me. Two more things, I do not find the little bookmarking strip useful, it just dangles there and since most of the time immigration people want you to take passport out anyway so I cut that strip off. Also under the slots side where you insert the passport cover (or back cover depends on how you want to store it) there was a little piece of paper attachment which, because of tight fit it is in the way and make it harder to insert properly, I cut that out too and it is easier to have passport in and out now. Some reviewers have complained about case does not fit. I rather have it snugged initially and eventually after use it will expand a little to allow easy access rather than loose to begin with and become too loose after use and have passport falling out.

Haven't traveled with it yet but glad lll have it less worry on my mind since we live in a digital age. If you want s stylish case/holder this ones good has a few card slots Aswell so no complaints!
