Great for the kids!

I set this up as soon as it arrived. It works as one would expect a tether ball set to work. The only thing I would mention is that the "spike" mentioned in the description is not a pound in the ground spike. You'll need a bag of concrete to place the "spike" in ground. Once the concrete is cured, put the poles together and have fun! Get the rope tied to the ball well. If the ball comes off during play, it's virtually impossible to the get the rope re-attached unless you deflate the ball. Not a crisis, but I dug into my "book-O-knots" after the ball game off the second time.

The pole is very lite and sways back and forth buy over a foot but for fhe price not bad the ball is top of the line for a temp move and go it works but if you want a permanat set up you need to uy a simple 1 1/2 piece of pipe and all the hardware is there

So far so good...

This tetherball set so far is pretty good. It is a little wobbly- so I am not sure how long it will last with my three kids playing it all the time...only time will tell. The ball is a decent quality. It was fairly easy to set up, does require precise measuring though to make sure it is set up correctly.

Pole has already started to rust at the base.

Disappointed. Had to order a standing base separately and where the pole was scratched by the bolt to secure it. It started to rust already. Also, the ball was not yellow. It was white and for some reason we get white chalking on our clothes as if there wasn't any type of sealant on the ball.

I bought this for our campground. Very easy to assemble and made by a reliable company.

Not satisfied. I think the pole need to be more ticker or maybe in one straight part.

The pole was not strong enough to hold the ball. The pole keep moving and making a noice while hitting on the ball. My husband tried to fix the pole by adding some tape around the topper pole or he even put some concrete on the ground part to hold the pole not to move but didn’t work well.

Great for the occasional use of young children

Three families with a total of six adults and eight children (aged 1 - 8 years old) were coming for a family picnic. I purchased this to provide one of several independent activities for the children while the adults visited. It was easy to assemble and the children loved it, making up their own rules as they went along. I particularly liked the ability to change the height of the pole. Because it would only get occasional use and because we wanted to plant it in the middle of the lawn, we did not anchor it in a cement base. Instead we drove 12 inches of abs pipe into the ground almost flush with the surface and stood the tetherball pole in it (Be careful to drive the pipe straight down so the pole stands erect). When the day was over we removed the pole and put a cap on the pipe. Voila! No tripping hazard and the lawn mower goes over the pipe without difficulty. The pole can be re-installed in minutes the next time the grandchildren are here to use it. The pole is sturdy enough for preschoolers and young children but I am not sure it would stand up to the more strenuous use of adolescents. One of our German Shepherd Dogs yanked on the ball and bent the pole - but the equipment was not really meant for this type of treatment. We were able to shorten the pole with a hacksaw and still use it for the age of the intended audience. When our grandchildren get older we will likely replace the pole with a steel one. You should know that the ball comes un-inflated and that the pump comes without the needle required to inflate the ball. Luckily we had one around the house left over from when our own children were using soccer, tether, and basketballs

The pole was not adequate for tetherball!

The ball and the rope were great. However the pump was very cheap like dollar store quality. The pole was very very cheaply made. It wobbles and younger kids were scared it would fall over or break on them. It was not a solid pole leaving us to have to dig out the cement used to install the pole.and go buy a proper steel pipe. The pole we got from them came in 3 pieces.

A bit cheap....

You get what you pay for... Ball fade in the sun within few days... Pole not really solid... Do the job ok... but ground spike is useless... need to be installed in concrete...
