works good
It has a good amount of light but unfortunately the casing has broke into many pieces so I don't use it too much anymore it would be nice if a light could hold up to the life of a repair shop haven't owned it a year yet

One FANTASTIC trouble light right here...
VERY NICE... I love it. Somehow I lost an old Bayco LED rechargeable trouble light that I had for years. It was one of the first ones out and had rows of single LEDS. It had a magnet on the top and one on the side and they weren't that great, and it has a cluster of LEDS on the bottom for a flashlight that wasn't very good either. It held a charge OK but started to dim after not too long. So, I read reviews and decided on this light and WOW, I am very impressed. This is one heck of a light. First impression when you hold it, it's heavy, it's solid, very will built and feels great in your hand. Second, the flashlight is nice and bright. You can use the flashlight on this as a flashlight, and not some facsimile of one. Third, the long LED for the trouble is VERY bright. You certainly don't want to look at it. It's probably three times brighter than the old Bayco I had. It is fantastic. Fourth, the hooks are great. There's not only a hook at either end that swivel out, they also turn 360 degrees after you swivel them out. Yeah somebody put a lot of thought on this light. Fifth, the magnetic base, it also swivels 180 degrees and the magnetic strong. When it pops onto something it does so with an authoritative pull and a clunk. It would take considerable effort to just bump it and knock it off, and it's not going to fall off if it's just jiggled or something. And last but not least it has two different chargers, one for the wall and one for the cigarette lighter in your vehicle. So all in all, this is a fantastic light, period. I would recommend this light to anyone, really, it's the total package as far as a nice, well built, heavy duty, versatile trouble light. They put together a nice one here.

Amazing product, more than what I expected for sure.
I can't believe how amazing this is (on sale for about 43 bucks). First impression, small box, okay smaller than I expected. Took it out of the box, never mind, its rather large. Usually boxes have a ton of packaging between the box and the item to hold it in place, not this, its just the light and a small box inside that holds the wall/car charger. Second impression, it came fully charged. Which is a nice touch. Turned this puppy on and holy s***I'm blind. Went into the bathroom in complete darkness and turned it on, it lights the bathroom up like its daytime. This thing is as powerful as stated. And for the price, win. I got this because I didn't want to spend upwards of 200 dollar + for a work light. Basically I wanted a light bar so when I am working on engines taking them apart and doing whatever job I could have light, being a cheap ass I opted for this Torchstar, and man am I impressed. Third impression, the magnetic base is powerful. I can hang the light at any angle on a flat metal surface rather its standing up, hanging straight down, or on a wall. As long as its metal, this thing holds up very well. Genuinely surprised. It has 2 hooks which I assumed I would be using since cheap lights with magnets usually suck, but not this one. I can't wait to show off at work.... Hopefully it hold sup to a mechanics atmosphere, light chemicals, dropping, throwing, etc. If it stands up to that test I am sure to be impressed. A friend of mine had 4 of these at his shop, but one of his mechanics kept losing them in customers vehicles and he has never bought any more, not because they suck but because he forced his employees to buy their own now. This light is pure amazing.

Light light, big lighting!
I'd hoped this review would have been after getting to use it more but it showed up later than I'd hoped and I'd started the job I needed it for, earlier than planned. No fault on anyone. When it first got here, it wasn't charged, but plugging it in for a few seconds seemed to have jumped it off. I did stick it under the hood, in a strange place, folder and stuck to the bottom of a master cylinder for about 5 minutes before it died again. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it stuck in a weird spot and was able to angle it exactly how I needed it and be secure. After a full charge I was even more happy to see how wide the light beam is. Not quite 180 degrees, but maybe 160? Perfect for under the hood, or just about any place you need to light up a work area, close up or far away. It's brighter than I expected too. Some reviews make me wonder if some people are expecting the same kind of light as the hot, incandescent bulbs we've all broken, gotten burned on and melted things with. LED is different and probably makes things look clearer before brighter. To compare the 2 kinds of lights in the same place would be good to do if you haven't ever compared. I'm stoked about this light and may end up buying another for carrying in the car, or on the boat. I set out for a "drop light" and ended up with something even more versatile. So far, I'm a big fan!

Nice bright light with good battery life and magnets
The 2 way light is very useful. The beam on the top is quite focused and puts a great spot light where you need it. The face light spreads out well for an LED light which tend to be very directional. The magnets on the back and bottom are powerful and will keep the light firmly in place. The shape is a little cumbersome if you can't find a metal surface to stick it to. It tends to roll around very easily and won't stay focused on your work and falls down into any place that's hard to get to. The one real problem with this light is it's weakness to brake fluid. If you work around any brake fluid don't let it get anywhere near this light. The smallest drop or mist will set off a chain reaction of dissolving plastic. My light got a fine mist from a leaking brake hose and within 2 hours the light completely fell apart. Even with an immediate cleaning the brake fluid still destroyed the light. But otherwise I'm quite satisfied with the light and purchased another to replace the one I got brake fluid on.
