Great game!
Great game especially for younger elementary school kids! Mom and Dad enjoy playing it, too. It is a great game to help kids figure out different strategies plus where different cities are in the country. You won't be disappointed in this one!

Great for little kids
We love playing this game with our 6 and 9 year olds.

Great Adaptation for Kids
Ticket to Ride is a modern classic. The kids’ version, “Ticket to Ride First Journey,” is a wonderful and faithful adaptation. Most kids’ board games are usually ancient classics with a pasted on modern IP (like Paw Patrol Monopoly or Frozen Connect Four), but this takes one of the greatest gateway games in the hobby and turns it into a perfectly simple version for kids that adults can still enjoy playing. It’s almost identical to the original but a simpler decision set for beginners that can be adjusted as they get a little older and understand the game better. Components are top notch. Trains are durable and cards are made of the same linen type card stock as the original game. A great game to get your youngster into the hobby.

Fun for all ages
A great way to introduce your younger kids to Ticket to Ride. My 6 year old loves it and had even won some games against me and his sister.

Ease and fun for all ages
So I've never played the adult version but boy was this fun with the kids. Definitely quick and easy to learn and play. Love the different strategies to win. My kids love it and we, as parents, love it and dominating wins against our kids! But they learn quickly and the wins aren't as dominating. Can't wait to upgrade to the original version

Fun Family Game
Simple game, my 4 year old picked it up pretty quickly. The directions weren't great though, could've used a little more guidance with some of the aspects.

Loved but needs more trains
My 5/6 year old is doing well playing the game. However, there just aren’t enough trains to play the suggested number of rounds. It suggests first person with 6 tickets but there is only enough train cars to do 4.5-5 trains.

Great intro to strategy games
I would’ve given this game 5 stars BUT the instructions have no mention of the game setup ( how many Ticket and Train cards each player starts with). Even the manufacturer’s website doesn’t tell you. After a quick search on the internet, we settled on 2 Ticket and 4 Train cards per player to start. It took my 7yo a few games to kindof figure it out but he enjoyed the process and is looking forward to more games. My 4yo couldn’t really grasp the concept and lost interest quickly but that wasn’t really surprising for this type of game. All in all, this is an excellent intro to stately type games. Having played Catan Jr and Risk with my 7yo, this game definitely captivates his interest the most.

Fun for everyone!
I bought this for my 4 year old for Christmas. He caught on really quickly, and beats us all the time! No help needed from us. We can play 5+ games a day, and it’s fun for all of us.

Fun family game
Bought for my daughters 6th birthday. We had never played the full version before so I can’t compare it to that. This was easy enough to learn, though we still play with the cards all face up instead of hidden in our hands as the instructions suggest. With her age, it’s still a bit hard for her to keep track of everything otherwise. She finds it fun and I like that it gives her a bit of challenge as well learning to strategize. The game itself seems high quality. The box is sturdy. It has a tray inside to keep everything organized and includes some extra pieces incase some get lost.

One of the best board games for 6 year old
Junior Edition. Love everything about this game. Simple gameplay makes it easy for 6 year old to learn, but fun enough for adults to play with kids. On an educational side there's an element of exploring map of Europe, encouraging to read names. Reading is not required though, as pictures are used to identify cities as well as names. Also, game requires some logical thinking to come up with different connections, just enough to be a little challenging while entertaining at the same time. As a bonus, plastic trains are this toy element in game that kids really enjoy.

Family game night fun????
Ticket to Ride is a fun game. My son is a avid game player. Even at 38 years old. He has a huge collection of games including the original Ticket to Ride. He loves to play games with his children who are 4 and 8. When I seen this edition of ticket to ride, I thought it would be the perfect Christmas gift for my grandchildren. I was right they enjoy it very much, and have been playing it ever since Christmas. I will be honest with you, I find games today are becoming very expensive to purchase. I did Purchase Ticket to Ride on sale. Overall this is a quality game that will get lots of use In their house, so even paying a little more, might be worth it to your family. It will make family game night that much more fun. The only problem I can see is that it doesn't come with game controllers so you actually have to move the game pieces with your hand, lol But for anyone that enjoys playing games with their children, this board game will become a favorite in your house I'm sure.
