Love these for coffee!
These are so easy to brew a single cup of coffee in a very "green" way. No pods, no plastic, no waste. I recycle the bags and coffee grounds in my compost. I take them (with coffee) traveling as well, since many international locations do not serve American style brewed coffee.

For large individual cup use (~12-16oz of water) #2 is perfect. Perfect for fine ground or full leaf tea with PLENTY of bloom
Bought number 2 bags to use with full loose leaf teas. Absolutely perfect bags. I needed a medium-large bag for my midday cup of tea at work in my 12oz travel mug, to have space for the teas to bloom. I've tried them with rolled oolongs, wispy whites and greens to sturdy large blacks, and even pouched up some leftover fannings from the greens, and not even microscopic pieces get through. Honestly, I used to just throw fannings out, since they slip through my pot's strainer, but now I have a use for them in these bags! Obviously not the best cup of tea in the world, but there's easily enough for 5-10 cups worth of fannings at the bottom of my tins by the time I'm done. Taste is completely unnoticeable. Steep an empty bag and you won't taste it, and it won't impart flavors onto even the most delicate of white or green teas. Definitely unbleached. For 12-16oz cups, I suggest starting with 1.5 heaping teaspoons (that's baking teaspoons, not the ones in your flatware) of full leaf teas, a teaspoon for tightly rolled teas, and about a teaspoon for fannings. Remember, since you're not getting -full- bloom out of any tea in a bag, you're going to have to use a little more. As for sealing the bags, it couldn't be easier. Don't fold the lip over at the base of where the pouch begins (this will seal a huge chunk of the bag and limit brew space for the tea,) instead fold it over so it only overlaps by about 1cm, and hit it with your iron set to its absolute HOTTEST setting for 10 seconds. You don't even need to fold the lip over, really, as simply ironing the first cm of the pouch will seal it perfectly. Seals do NOT come apart. But make sure you're using the hottest setting on your iron or it may not seal. The edge of an old school soldering iron for under a second also works, as does a curling/flat iron. These bags may be a tad more pricey than other stuff on amazon, but I honestly can't find fault with these bags. all 100 were put together well and stayed sealed throughout brewing and floating around in a ziploc in my backpack.

Easy to use and more economical than individual tea bags
I purchase these on repeat. I use them to brew my own Kombucha. More affordable than buying individually wrapped tea bags and much less waste,

The only tea bag I use because it is large
I drink herbal teas most days and these tea sacs are the only ones I use. I like the #2 size because it holds a lot of tea. You can fill the bag with the desired amount, hold the top while pouring hot water over it and steep the bag without it sinking into the pot. Perfect! This two pack will last years!

Tea comes out clear and fresh!
These teabags are of good quality and are exactly as advertised. I bought the 4-pack of SIZE 2 teabags. They are advertised to be big enough to brew enough tea for 2-4 cups which is correct. It obviously depends on how big the cups are and what kind of tea is being used. The loose leaf tea that I tried with these is small-grained and does have "tea dust" in it. These filters filtered all the dust out and non of the tea particles ended up in the teapot. My tea was clear and sediment free. Great results! These tea bags are 3 x 6 inches and the top section (1.5") can fold over like an envelope - see pics. They are super thin but do not break or tear easily. I tried squeezing the tea out of the tea bag after it was brewed to eliminate any drip and the bag did not tear. I used these in a tea pot and various cups and they work great with all as they fold over easy. They are also thin enough to put the lid back on the teapot to hold the bag. I easily fit 3 teaspoons of dry loose tea and could probably max it out to 5. But do keep in mind that the tea will expand once gets wet. Tried steeping in a cup (1 teaspoon) and in a glass tea pot (3 spoons) and the tea steeped clear and fresh. Overall, I'm very satisfied with these tea filter bags and will definitely buy more when I run out. Seems like the more you buy, the more you save. So the larger packs are a better deal. I think that SIZE 2 are ideal and think that the smaller size (1) would be too small and the larger sizes would only be good for really big teapots. Btw, just for reference the size of my teapot (the one in the pictures) is 1400 ml or 48 oz. Hope this helps.

First order great, second order came with horrible odor
I ordered these once before and they were just fine, used them daily to brew my small 2-cup pot of tea. Seemed to do well with finer herbal tea blends as well as regular loose-leaf black tea. So as I ran low, I didn't hesitate to re-order these. However, I never used any from my second order because the boxes arrived with an overwhelming smell. I am not kidding when I say they smelled like they had been stored with some kind of noxious deodorant, like a urinal cake. Sweetish, floral and absolutely nauseating. Though the smell dissipated slightly, it remained strong enough to waft out every time I opened the drawer in which they were stored. When I opened the boxes, the tea bags were clearly permeated with that odor. Not worth it to go through the UPS return hassles (I wish Amazon had a USPS option), so I'm just tossing them. I've ordered a different brand which will hopefully be as good as the first batch of these and be odor-free.
