Perfect fit adapter set

Perfect adapter set for my outboard motor and the tilt unit I bought for it

The description was a little foggy but it seemed like it might work

Did the trick perfectly. I have a boat with a 15" transom and a CMC PT-130 tilt / trim unit. I got a new Suzuki 25 that has a clamp on type transom mount and what I assume is a nonstandard mounting bolt pattern. I say this because nothing lined up bolt wise, and even if I used the clamps and then drilled and bolted the lower mounting holes, the engine would set way too low. Before reinventing the wheel, I looked at the CMC site and saw this adaptor. The description was a little foggy but it seemed like it might work. Low and behold, Amazon not only stocked it, but it was prime. Knowing I could send it back if it didn't work, I went for it. Not only did it raise the engine, but it's very sturdy and I'm sure it will last a long time. I don't know why the description says it only weighs 2 pounds because it weighs more like 10. Came with stainless 1/2" mounting hardware. I very happy I got this and didn't try to jury rig something.

Does not fit mercury Inline 6

Do not buy for inline 6 with clamps unless you want to spend hours drilling it. The holes do not line up at all in order to bolt the motor to the plate. I had to custom drill through inches of solid metal in order to run a bolt through the motor and plate. They should give better instructions before you buy on how to Mount a motor to the plate

Easy to install, but my transom clamps ran out of thread without getting snug, requiring a 5/8" shim.
