Genuine SMEAD VP64SA (68164)
Wasn’t sure if these would be what I was looking for, but they are the exact product I get from Staples. Good condition when they arrived: nothing bent, missing or damaged.

Excellent for listing the contents of boxes (with index cards). Better than using labels.
Great for people who stuff things inside of boxes then come by weeks later to locate something like an extension cord and wonder which of the ten or so boxes actually has the cord. If at all. A great purchase to go with these would be 4x6 index cards - lined and/or blank, although I trim off the edge of the cards so they slide in/out a little easier. For some boxes a 4x6 pocket is too large, so I trim off the excess with scissors and all is well. So far as the labels adhering to plastic surfaces, everything sticks and stays there. Nothing has peeled loose in the last few months. Sometimes when first attaching them the edge does not adhere to the surface, but when this is an issue I run a glue stick along the edge and that corrects the problem. Have inserted/removed cards routinely when I was adding/removing contents from boxes, and the pocket showed no signs of weakening inserting/removing cards multiple times. A 4x6 card in the 4x6 pocket is a little snug, so I started trimming off a bit of the index cards to make removing the cards easier. Buying these pockets (and index cards) was a much better option than just adhering labels to the side of a box and constantly needing to peel off or attach new labels as the contents changed. Can keep lists saved on my PC and reprint to a new index card or just use a pen.

Inane And Misleading
The reason that I purchased these self-adhesive CD sleeves is because I wanted something that would shut snugly, and resist being opened; I figured "self-adhesive" fell into the category of a sleeve that you could glue shut, or at least would stick shut so that the precious cargo inside wouldn't fall out so easily. UNFORTUNATELY - I was met with 2 realities: Firstly, the main adhesive draw is on the back of the plastic cases - meaning that they are designed to be stuck to a surface (like a wall) for storage. While this can be useful, it's not exactly what was advertised - and upon that, the adhesive is so unnecessarily sticky that trying to remove these slender little plastic folds is rendered neigh impossible. Do NOT stick these to anything that you are not willing to destroy - or have it latched onto forever. Secondly, there is a little sticky segment on the lip of the case - I figured that this is what I was looking for. But the cases come PRE-SEALED, meaning that they are already glued shut when you get them. To put a CD inside, you MUST pry open the plastic lip and put the CD inside... but after you yank the thing open, it loses its sticky characteristic. You are left with a ring of useless glue that refuses to hold your cover shut most of the time, and is quite content with just gathering hideous amounts of dust and grime - so every time you reach for a CD you have to see a ring of heartily adhered fuzz and grime. Incredibly disappointing. Outstandingly backwards. At least it holds a CD, and it will stick to a wall if that's all you want. If it weren't for the fact that it may have a niche appeal regardless of its insane design, I would have given it 1 star.

CLEARLY IDENTIFY STORAGE BOXES
We bought these poly pockets to use when we label a quantity of recently purchased bankers' boxes. We are trying to organize the "seldom used" but "not-throw-aways" that clutter our rooms. We wanted to clearly label these boxes, and not just scribble on them with a black felt-tipped marker. These poly pockets (4"x6") have proved to be just the thing. We print the identification of their contents on an index-card on our LaserJet and slip it into the sleeve that we have attached to the box. When we someday reuse the box we will just print a new label. The pockets give every sign of being adhered firmly to the box and we expect them to remain so. FOLLOW-UP: We have experienced a slight amount of the paper backing sticking to the adhesive. From the positioning and other circumstances, I suspect that I have inserted the label, printed on a HP LaserJet too soon after coming out of the printer — that is, while still warm and the pocket was not on its target box. This may have activated the adhesive. I suggest inserting cooled printed labels only after pocket has been fastened to its box.

i use a ton of these, i wish they made a bigger one.....
this pocket is great. its easy to get it to stick down straight. I use a lot of notebooks that I decorate and stand up on my desk to help coral the small pieces of paper that seem to end up all over. just small notes that I want to keep. (for example ideas for cards that I make, decorating ideas, quick recipes, etc.) I put one of these pockets on the inside flap of the front and back of these composition size books. I use a lot of binders also and I wish they made these big enough to put a piece of paper that is 8 and 1/2 inches wide in it. I have looked, but unable to find that size. be sure to rub out the bubbles with a bone folder or a credit card right after you place it.

awesome
These are awesome for photos and for notes and for postage stamps. I put a few on the side of my file cabinet for small items like that. The first time i tried to peel it off the backing I was not understanding that the entire white part is supposed to come off. silly me. the whole white part peels off leaving a very light thin sleek clear pocket with a very think sticky backing like scotch tape.
