Rigid tube cutter

I bend stainless steel tubing all the time at work.I have two other rigid tube cutters , so buying this one was a gamble if it would be used then stuck in the tool box . I can honestly say this works perfectly on stainless steel tubing. Very glad I bought it.

A really beautiful cut

We fabricate marine canvas. The frames we make are Stainless Steel. A Steel Cut-Off saw is noisy and dirty. A Hacksaw leaves a dangerous ragged edge, seldom is square and the ends cannot be inserted into the junctions and fittings without being filed down. This RIGID cutter makes a beautiful, square to the shaft, cut with no overhang. It is clean and fast, too!

Perfect For Cutting MTB Handlebars & Steerer Tubes

I purchased the RIDGID 29963 Model 35S Stainless Steel Tubing Cutter to cut the steerer tubes on my new MTB forks. I wanted a cutter that would cut the tube cleanly. The Rigid 29963 model 35S is capable of cutting stainless steel tube w/diameters from 1/4 inch to 1-3/8 inch. It has a large adjustment knob that is comfortable & makes tensioning the cutting wheel easy. There are bearings Instead of rollers that are in most pipe cutters. These felt really good & allowed me to make a true, smooth, clean cut on the 1-1/8 inch steerer tube. There was only a need for minimal filing to clean up the burrs left behind. Overall I am very happy w/this pipe cutter. In the future if I need to cut another steerer tube or handlebars, I know this will complete the job. Best Pipe Cutter I've Bought (And I've Bought Many)

I have been through half a dozen different pipe cutters, breaking my wrist on each before ultimately throwing them away to try a new one. This Ridgid cuts better than I imagined a pipe cutter could -- sharp blade, strong threads, truly a wonderful product. Exceeded my expectations.

Works great on EMT conduit

I had been struggling to cut conduit with a Rothenberger tube cutter , which works great on copper but not on conduit. This cuts it in just a few easy turns. So glad I ordered it!

beautifully engineered and demolishes the competition

A Rolls-Royce of tubing cutters; beautifully engineered and demolishes the competition. I bought it to cut a few dozen very short lengths (8mm - don't ask :-)) of 9mm OD stainless tubing with a wall thickness of 1mm. Anyone who has used a tube cutter to cut short lengths will know that they tend to skate off sideways if you try to cut very close to the end of the tube and they tend not to like small diameter tubing anyway, but the Ridgid performed perfectly every cut, despite the hard material and the short lengths. One piece of advice for anyone who is not familiar with this style of cutter - whatever make - is, like a saw, let the tool do the work. If you try to cut too quickly, particularly with stainless steel, you will overstress the bearings and the cutter blade. Tighten gently and be patient.

Highly recommended!

There are few cutters out there capable cutting steel tubes and this will do it like hot knive to butter, clean cut every time. There is the spare cut wheel in the handle and you know these will last a long time and the best part is the actual cutter itself, contructed with solid steel and an absolutely piece of art! Superb quality!
