Feels good, looks really nice, seems like it will last (it does have a 5 year warranty)
I looked at 3 telescoping rods to replace my old ReadytoFish telescoping rod and real combo. I settled on this Quantum Embark model to pair with my Zebco 33 Platinum reel (Quantum now under same ownership as Zebco). I also looked at the smaller Quantum telescoping rod, and a KastKing. The smaller quantum just didnt feel sturdy, and the KastKing while it felt like a quality product, and was the shortest of the bunch collapsed, didnt feel right in my had, as the handle portion is small/short. This Embark model feels right, looks great with a nice matte finish on the main rib sections, the grip is long enough for the whole hand, and I like the fact that you can actually push and lock closed some of the telescopic sections (there is no lock mechanism, rather they just fit tight when closed) which means I can use this in tight casting spaces, and when you close it, it stays closed. The KastKing sections seems to slide too freely in and out when extending and collapsing. The only thing I wish this had that the other 2 did, was a metal cover over the reel top lock down ring. Ill comment back once I actual get out and use it. The 5 year warranty was the clincher for me, since these telescopic robs can have some inherent weakness being in sections.

So far so good
Initial impressions are great. For the money it's hard to beat this rod. Decent grade graphite with a solid fiberglass tip section, exposed blank reel seat, light, has a great feel/action (honestly feels like a 2 or 1 pc). Feels closer to a fast action then moderate fast,, but thats just whipping it around in the living room.. Paired it with a Mitchell 308 which according to the manufacturer is a 2000 size reel but is closer to my 2500s and it feels veryyy well balanced. Honestly haven't used it yet but I can't wait to.. I gave it 4 stars cus the 1st one I received, the fiberglass tip was extruded kinda wonky and wasn't straight or smooth(thank God for prime lol) replacement was perfect so check it on yours and make sure its good. Can't expect perfect quality control on a 30$ rod so I won't totally fault quantum especially when they would have replaced it themselves and they offer a very reasonable warranty on it.. def wayyyyy better than any other telescopic rod in its price range I guarantee that. Otherwise you'd honestly have to spend 75-125 to get something just slightly better

I'm buying a second one of these Bad Boys!!!
I purchased the Quantum Embark Telescopic Fishing Rod, Convenient 6'6" Durable IM6 Graphite Blank with Solid Glass Tip, Comfortable Split-Grip EVA Rod Handle, Black last year in August and have caught Crappie much bigger than the one pictured and this Crappie some weighing close to and over 2lbs as well as Peacock Bass and Catfish weighing in at 8lbs! The sensitivity is INCREDIBLE with 10lb BRAIDED LINE! Yeah, the guides bend a little, but NO WORRIES just bend them back into your desired shape and/or position. I paired the rod with a Quantum Optix X 30 and I am MORE than IMPRESSED. As mentioned before at the end of this review I'm buying a second one of these Bad Boys!!!

Works well
When you have limited space this rod is good for its cost. I travel on a motorcycle to all the corners of the USA. This easily fits in a saddle bag so I can fish when ever the mood strikes. I’ve caught three and four pound largemouth with this rod and it preformed well. Any larger fish might be a bit much but if you’re good and take your time, you can catch any fish on earth.

Caught me a fish
Bought this for a trip, when it arrived the line guides were all bent but that was easy enough to fix. It's a little heavy duty for fishing but transportable and easy enough to set up and take down.

Will not use any other telescopic rod
If you pair this with a good reel, and know how to take care of rods and set drags, this rod is great. The fiberglass tip is durable and the guides are smooth. I have no problems casting far with this rod even with very light baits. If you use a cheap reel, I'd be careful, as I do NOT think that the rod can handle 17 pounds as described on the description. I used my rod for 3 years before it finally broke and only because I was trying to reel in a 24' yellowtail away from a shark. I was using 17 pound test (braid+fluoro, my fault, this setup has no elasticity). If you don't need to be this aggressive against a fish, it has served me well bringing in Bonita tuna, Peacock bass, yellowtail (salt) and Largemouth. Patience is key when using this type of rod. When my next one breaks, I'll happily buy another one at this price.

So far So good
The price had given me a case of 0 faith in this rod, So I have only tested it for 3 days and so far no issues. Day one I started small with pan fish. Day 2 I went for crappie I caught 6 avg weight being around a pound. Day 3 we stepped it up with bass and absolutely 0 funny noises or damage to the rod. I'm thinking about going after Walleye next. I will edit this review if we snap it on bigger fish that's still in its limits.

Very carry handy!
I had a telescoping rod some years ago and really liked it. After it was basically worn out I never got another but seeing this ad I had to get another. Very happy with this purchase. Light weight and durable.

HEY...I caught a fish :)
Using this Moto camping. Great compact, quality telescopic rod. I've had a three piece pack rod, and this one is 6" shorter. Casts pretty good. It's a little time consuming to pull it apart and collapse it with line on it, but meh the fish aren't going anywhere. Using 10bl line and a 6" leader. The two Walleye (bigger one was 22") were caught in rapids, and the rod didn't feel stressed at all. The plastic threaded coupler for attaching the reel feels and operates like a higher end rod. It's a great rod for packs, straps within the width of ATV racks. Frig it can be strapped across handle bars it's that compact. Great buy.

disappointed
The end section too small and broke at the ring. I manage to fix it but eventually all the collapsible sectons became hard to extend and retract until 2 sections completely seized open. I ruined the rod trying to fold it.

Not something I would take out regularly
Feels and looks very cheap, eyelets are very thin and flimsy, I have it in my quads box jic I want to toss a line somewhere. Would not recommend otherwise.
