I wish it were stainless steel instead of Teflon.

We bought one of these Presto 06012 Nomad 8-quart Traveling Slow Cooker for my daughter’s birthday, after owning one for about four years ourselves. She is chiropractor and is health conscious about things like Teflon. I cook with stainless steel or cast iron because I feel the same way about Teflon, and do not want to ingest it. Other than the Teflon pan insert, this works great for transporting soups and stews without spilling in your car, which is the main reason for our purchase. The extras like the spoon rest, band for holding the spatula, the drip catcher, and the little dry erase board on the front are cool little bonuses. I only wish they would sell a stainless steel pan for it.

SO many compliments

We are always bringing our crockpot to parties and work functions and this one has the best features. It has never spilled in the car and there is even a tiny bucket in the back to catch the condensation when you open the lid. There are MULTIPLE people that have bought this since I brought it in because of all the great features. We have 2 small kids that have dropped, sat and climbed on this crockpot as well- still solid. I only wish the cord would retract. Other than that a PERFECT device!

Best crockpot I’ve ever purchased!

This is the best crockpot - especially if you’ll be transporting hot food. It’s almost impossible to spill and the outside never gets hot to the touch (no danger if little kids are around). This is the third identical one I’ve purchased - 2 for myself because they’re constantly in use and 1 for a gift. Love, love, love this crockpot - it is totally worth the money!

Most Exciting CrockPot EVER

CrockPots aren't that cool, right? Wrong. This one is. It's cool looking, and has some pretty cool features to boot. It really looks like a cooler at first glance. It has a small dry-erase board space to label your dish on the front, a built in dry-erase marker & slot so you don't lose it. It has a removable spoon rest with a band to secure your spoon during travel as well. When the handle is in the carry position, it doubles as a lock for the top, and the gasket on the inside of the lid ensures no spills during travel (the main reason I purchased this). It holds a LOT of food (8qt), and has a lightweight metal insert rather than ceramic, making it easy to clean and lighter to carry. The lid is easily removable and has a clear glass window and a vent. There is also a small tray in the back to catch the condensation & a place to hide the cord during travel or when otherwise not in use. Overall, I do not have a single negative thing to say about this thing- it is worth absolutely every penny!

Super efficient!! Cooks Prime Rib that you can cut with a fork =]

I bought this for my GF for Christmas. We used it the same day and many days after. It cooks much faster then most crock pots because of the insulation and the seal from the lid. It has a nice rubber seal and locking lid mechanism. It also has a removable catch for the condensation runoff when the lid is opened. Any meat you cook in this thing cuts like butter. We've cooked a massive 4 bone prime rib that served 6 people. Everyone agreed it was the best they had. I Highly recommend this slow cooker. In fact I'm buying one for my Mom for her B-Day.

Great to take baked beans, chili, wings, etc.... to parties, family gatherings , etc. I have an EcoFlow so I can even keep it warm where there is no power

Perfect travel crock pot

This travel crock pot is great. It is light since the "crockpot" it a thinner metal. It held temps fine for an all day chili. Was also used to hold pulled pork at tailgate. Works great.

Great Find!

As a camper I was thrilled when I found a crock pot that looked like a cooler! I have cooked several things in it and found the temperature to be spot on and it is very easy to clean (just pop it in the dishwasher - no more heavy ceramic to deal with!). I am really looking forward to using it camping this year - cooking inside my trailer and then easily carrying it out to the picnic table for a meal! Great product by Presto!

It travels well!

I’ve used it once and it did fine. It’s squat shape and locking lid make it perfect tp take in the car with no fear of roll overs. If I had to find a fault at this point, it needs a pilot light.i

False advertising

It says it is an 8 Quart cooker, quarts which equals approx. 7.5 litres. This only fits 6 litres....so it more like 6.34 quart cooker. RIP OFF!!!
