sturdy and very safe, love the protector

sturdier than the first one I bought, which only lasted 2 mos. at first I thought the protector was in the way for washing in the dishwasher (which it is), but the ease and safety of getting the apple pieces out of the device is well worth the minor inconvenience. i am glad to have the protector in place.

Easy to use

Great apple corer, slicer. Keeps your knuckles from smashing on counter. Flip bottom back and push on handles again and slices fall free. Love this! Had one for at least 10 years before a large apple with very thick skin was too much for it and plastic cracked. Very pleased to find another one here.

Much better design!

Love this apple slicer! Takes away the major annoyances and allows you to slice multiple apples quickly. My previous one, without the base, drove me crazy by getting stuck by the bottom or trying to hold the core hostage forever. This one works great!

Slices beautifully.

I like the different ways you can easily cut a hard boiled egg or mushroom. No problem changing the shapes.

This is the one to get

I went cheap the first time and got the version without the grey base that swivels. Getting this version was a major game changer. It makes it so easy to get the slices through the slicers. Don't go cheap and buy the white and green version without the base. Get this version as it will make things so much easier.

Hinged base releases the apple wedges efficiently and cleanly

We have a prior wedge cutter with no hinged base which requires significant work to get the wedges free but this one is easy. Rinse cutter clean and done!

5 years and going strong

I've had this since 2018. Still strong and still sharp. I've tried others that broke and had difficulty removing all of apple. This design is perfect. This is one of the few 'truly' 5-Star items I've gotten from Amazon.

Stick to the soft stuff

I snapped the wire immediately when attempting to half cherry tomatoes for my salad. Havent tried the wedger yet. The slicer worked nicely on strawberries as I am assuming it would for something very soft like eggs. With the very thin wires, I think you are quite limited to what produce you could use this for.....if there was only the slicer I would say it was intended only for eggs but with the other 2 attachments, it appears it should have more versatility. Stick to very soft soft produce or it wont last you very long.
