Good product - quality hard rubber for a decent price

Good product - quality hard rubber for a decent price. The only reason I can't give it a 5 star rating is that it falls off too easy. The bumpers would probably stay on better if it were a little deeper. I used it for a metal ladder for an in ground pool. I also have kids that tend to play around the ladder a lot so the bumpers might work fine for adult only use of the pool and can be more conscious of the bumpers, thus not knocking them off as easy.

Work for us

We have a metal type ladder and needed the end pieces to be a buffer between the ladder end and the wall. This item fits like a glove. It will certainly help keep our in-ground wall in tact.

Not even a few weeks and already starting to deteriorate

These were purchased for a ladder in an in-ground vinyl pool ladder. While they fit well, they are beginning to show signs of deterioration. The outer surface is shedding small particles. Yet my pool is not heavily chlorinated. In fact it's on the lower side of the recommended zone. I keep it that way to avoid bleaching my liner. So I know it's not from over chlorination. Hopefully I'll get the rest of the season out of them.

Best ladder bumpers out there

We had a hell of time getting the ladder pried away from the pool's side to get these things in, but we managed and they work as expected. Not sure where the old ones went to! This was for a public pool in our subdivision and the health inspector wrote us up for the bumpers missing. They had probably been missing for years.

Poor finish for something that could have been great.

The bumpers themselves are OK, soft material good for vinyl liners. I specifically wanted some that would mount on the "outside" of the latter feet to insure a larger contact surface. The finishing is lousy (see picture). Someone could have spend few seconds with a blade or grinding wheel and remove the burr from the mold. The grooves one the "pool" side are a bit too big and I was afraid they might harm my liner - I reduced them a bit with a sander.

Fit the ladder tubing nicely and are much better at protecting the liner than the small hard plastic the ladder came with.
