Best over the counter skin cream!

I have been using this product for 40 years and it works great on acne. Use it twice a day and your face will be clear.

Long Time pHisoderm Fan

Growing up in the 90s I had horrible acne. I started getting breakouts at 10 years old and nothing I used would help. I tried all kinds of products, ranging from low end to very high end products, and each product would either do nothing or make my skin look much much worse. Finally, I saw one of my mom's clients used the pHisoderm gel cleanser with salicylic acid and decided I'd give it a try (I was convinced it would be astronomical in price as her clients were on the wealthy side, but pleasantly surprised to find how affordable it was). It was the magic ticket to improving my skin. By the time I was in high school, people thought I was blessed with clear skin by genetics. Fast forward to adulthood, and I still use pHisoderm. As my skin has become a lot dryer, I no longer have the need for the salicylic acid formulation, so I switched to the cream cleanser and I've been using this consistently for five years. I don't use it alone - I use a cleansing oil-based balm for removing make up first - and I do use it in combination with my Clarisonic. My skin looks young, clear, and very smooth. If pHisoderm ever stops making their products, I don't know what I would do. Best bang for your buck.

It's OK!

I use this product as a part of my showering routine. It use too remove dirt, excess oil, Suncreen, as well as preventive measure for combating acne with just one application, but as of late, I have to do two or more applications nd allow them to sit for at least 5 mins ( which is a big no no that can cause transepidural water loss, which creates wrinkles and skin sensitivity, photo sensitivity). Overlooked the fragrance because it was an effective cleanser. Might have to move on from this product to a skin antiseptic cleanser, that fragrance free.

I've used Phisoderm for normal skin since 1970. My childhood dentist used it because it did not dry out his hands. This was before the use of gloves, and he had to wash his hands between each patient. I use it on my face and it does not dry out my skin. I have never had any issues with breakouts. I like that there are no perfumes because I am fragrance sensitive. Every teen should know about this product.

My holy grail cleanser

As long as they keep making this stuff, I'll keep buying it! I've been using this face wash for about 5 years. When I could no longer find it locally I decided to try something else... BIG MISTAKE!!! My face broke out within the first week. I tried to let my skin get used to something new, but it didn't work, I kept breaking out. I tried sooooo many different things to get my face back to normal, even other Phisoderm products. I'd say within 7 to 10 days of receiving my order my face was good as new. I'm 28 years old and haven't had a real acne problem since I was a teenager, just the normal occasional pimple. As long as I use this regularly I might get 2 a year... If that. But if for some reason (like I go out of town and forget to bring it) I don't use this for even a few days, I'll get a cystic pimple within a matter of days... Guaranteed! To sum it up: it's just an all around good cleanser, super gentle, and doesn't dry out my face. I think it wold be great for any skin type.

I couldn't be happier with it.

I have somewhat sensitive skin that is cystic acne prone. Before using this cleanser, I tried many of the different brands sold at stores like Clean and Clear, Olay, Neutrogena, Aveeno, and others, including medicated cleansers with Salicylic acid or Benzoyl peroxide. Since using this cleanser however, my face breaks out maybe a few times a month as opposed to a few breakouts a day, and my cystic acne has all but disappeared. The scars on my face have also improved a little bit and my skin in general looks and feels smoother because my pores have become smaller. And it does all of this without any acne medication. My face doesn't get dry after I wash with this and because of that, it doesn't get super oily later on either. The first few times I used this, I wasn't really buying the pH balance claim but I think a large part of why this cleanser works so well is in fact that it does balance the ph of your skin. The only drawback is that you pretty much have to order this online because I haven't been able to find it in stores in years. I will continue using this cleanser indefinitely.
