Very useful tools when in a tight spot

Great for DIY auto maintenance

These magnetic extension hold bolts and nuts just tight enough to get parts aligned when doing some car engine maintenance at home. With these I can easily change out the hard to reach PCV valve bolt head on my Honda Ridgeline. That one job saves me $150 and an annoying wait at the dealer

very good

This is what is needed to change the air filter on a Suburban. The front bottom bolt in the air filter box is something that I drop every time I replace the filter. And it galls into the under bumper air dam and takes some felling around till you locate it. The last time I had it changed at the Chevy dealer it must have fell and was never put back. I found it in the under bumper air dame. Now I can change it without it dropping.

Great Solution

Magnet is strong enough for small jobs, great for keeping oil drains plugs attached to the socket

Not a replacement for actual magnetic sockets

Concept is very cool but this product isn't great due to the fact that the bolt you're either removing or putting back doesn't reach the bottom of the socket. Therefore there is little to no magnetic attraction. I use this for car audio, occasionally. But I use it on an extension to fish bolts that are far back and angled to fall backward. There isn't really a replacement for actual magnetic sockets. Although when using the magnets to pickup a bolt with without the socket head it works quite well.

Handy to have

I love these. The extension itself doesnt feel that strong, so I normally only use these to set the bolt then go back to tighten it. I do a lot of grease zerks also, these fit into the back of the socket hole and hold the zero perfectly so that I can set it with ease.
