Actually leak-proof!

With the quality of things seeming to degrade more each year as companies cut corners to shave off productions costs, I didn't really expect this cold brew coffee maker to live up to the claim of being leakproof. But it is. It's well designed, too.And the center mesh section for the ground coffee holds quite a lot of coffee! If you follow the directions, and shake the whole thing vigorously for at least 30 seconds, making sure the water gets to and through all of the coffee, you could very well get some of the strongest homemade cold brew coffee you've ever had. I actually have to water it down by a third because it tastes so concentrated. The mesh does let very fine ground coffee particles through, and those will collect at the bottom unless you shake it to incorporate them. I don't mind them much. 10/10 HIghly recommend, and will buy more for family and friends.

Works like it should and durable

I haven't had any issues, simple to use. I've been using for about a month now. I've only hand washed but nothing has broken off. The mesh hasn't ripped with gentle hand washing and I don't really get much coffee grounds at the bottom. So the mesh catches 99% of the coffee. If I could fit a bigger size in my fridge I would. What matters is the quality of coffee you use and best results with course coffee but I have used finely ground, works, but not as well like they state in the directions. And definitely shake the container from time to time and you'll notice the coffee darken. Need at least 10 hrs for a decent taste, the longer the stronger and better!

Good to have

So I love coffee and have been searching for something to make cold brew in for a while. This is perfect as it doesn't take up a lot of space, I just put it in the fridge door, and it makes me about 4 cups (depending on the size of said cups). I read a few reviews and saw people say they had grounds in theirs, but I have not run into that yet. I will say the first use did suck because there was ALOT of just dry coffee grounds at the top, even after shaking the container like the instructions state. The next batch I ended up soaking water through the top of the grounds and just kind of waiting for it to drip down. From there I filled the container and made sure I poured the water on the actual mesh to help moisten the grounds as well.

good cold brew

I have been back and forth alot on buying one of these however I figured this one was cheap and would be a good try after reading some of the reviews and I tried it out for a couple of times and I love it. once i figure out how to do my flavors I can just start making coffee at home.

Slightly leaky

I purchased this to make cold brewed tea. After 1 washing I noticed it was leaking and I double checked all the seals and couldn’t find anything. When I pour, it comes out of the spout, but also where the top (the part that contains the handle) screws onto the jar. It’s a little drip that’s more of an annoyance. I’ll still continue to use it but I don’t see this unfortunately being a long term product as it seems like it will break down over time.

Easy to use and worthwhile

I am glad I purchased it, very convenient and I save money on purchasing iced coffee. I just buy bags of Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks coffee and it’s just as good without having to go out and wait in line. Very easy to make different types of cold coffee drinks especially when it’s a day when you don’t want to go out for coffee. There is some sediment on the bottom after a few days but not much and easy to clean.

Iced coffee girlie

I’m an iced coffee gal so I wanted to get this since I never really use my keurig. Too much time for the cool down! This is extremely easy to use and clean and makes the perfect amount for someone who only has a cup a day. This lasts me about 5 days! It takes more grounds than I thought but that’s on me haha.

Good For Price

Sipping on my first cup of cold brew (used Cafe Bustelo) and it’s good! I followed the instructions included in the manual for the grounds-to-water measurements (1 & 1/4 c: 4 c). I do notice that the brew is more viscous than what you get in the store so maybe adding more water would help. I also think it would be helpful to have measurements on the container for convenience. Would recommend. Would buy again.

Nice while it lasted.

This worked well. The filter tore after light use unfortunately. We have owned this for less than a year, used lightly and always hand-washed. I would expect a higher quality and durability for the cost.
