I had to return it. Here's my two cents.
This review isn't to stop you from buying this. But it might make you consider your purchase more. You do need to know I am returning the one I just received yesterday. I liked the quality of the internal Stainless Steel parts. Polished and designed to be cleaned easily. The cord does not retract but that wasn't an issue. The vent came off for easy cleaning. Under the inner stainless lid is Aluminum but it never saw moisture! So that doesn't matter. The removable stainless lid did its job. Very nice stainless steamer basket. All part fit well and the lid closed nicely. Has a stay warm function for 24 hours. Wish it was continuous but safety rules these days! This rice cooker cooks extremely fast. That is possibly a bad thing. I think it gets too hot too fast and shuts off before the water content is correct in the rice. I only cook Jasmine rice. A very good quality and it cooks fine in my old cooker. The Quality of rice after cooking was mushy. I am very careful at measurement and I am sure I did everything correct. I have used rice cookers my whole life. Not only was it mushy. I made sure to let it rest for ten minutes on warm before eating it. This did not help it at all! So I let it sit over night. for 12 hours. This was very bad! The rice initially was just mushy but not nasty on the bottom after cooking. It got nasty at the bottom and the sides were hard and yellow after 12 hours. I believe the warm function is too warm. It destroys the rice. This rice was nasty. The flavor was gone after it cooked and it was destroyed totally after 12 hours. I always test a rice cooker with 3 cups of rice. Thats for a 5-7 cup (dry) unit. It gives the best test. Plus after a few test. I am not tossing away allot of rice if it fails. I wanted this rice cooker to work out. I liked the simple on off function and the quality of the stainless steel. I only had it a day but the testing of it lets me believe that the plastic lid seemed too flexible to last very long. I hope they improve this item. I would love to own one that made great rice. The whole down fall is the Auto temp sensors. If someone else says the rice is great. Maybe the quality control and testing of those sensors needs to be addressed. I didn't wish to exchange and get another with the same issues. So I just returned it. I feel it's a design flaw. Take note: I am a rice snob. I like it perfect ! I mean Japanese rice cooker quality perfect. I have owned a Japanese rice cooker for over 10 years. They stopped making it and supplying the parts. No after market parts fit at all. I do not yet feel like dropping $450 on the new one that company makes. I am sure it is a great rice cooker. Probably the quality of rice I want. I am use to a constant warm function. I use to keep rice for three days and it was as good as the day I made it!!! The newer Japanese rice cookers are limited on warm time. Too many people got sick not cleaning their pots and eating old rice that had grown bacteria. I wish someone would design a three day timer on them. I would so drop $450 for a Japanese on that did. So whats wrong with what I own. The pot coating is starting to come off. Someone reached inside with a fork! That was the beginning of the end for that coating that lasted over 10 years! Real shame because that cooker still makes great rice! PERFECT! I just do not wish to eat Aluminum.

THE BEST RICE COOKER EVER!!!!
OK so "the best rice cooker ever" may be a bit dramatic but it is darned good! We have been using it for well over a year and it hasn't failed us once yet. We mainly use it for Jasmin rice but have used it with great results with Sushi rice, regular white rice and Basmati rice. All come out great! It has a great capacity, not too big, not too small. HIGHLY recommended! A few "pro" tips... 1. Because it's not Teflon (boo Teflon!) the bottom rice may be harder to take off but all you need to do is soak with with some warm water for a bit and it comes right off with a cloth. 2. DO NOT use metal or abrasives to clean the bottom! This will damage the bottom and make things worse. 3. I do not use the "warm" feature. Once the rice is done cooking I just unplug it. It will stay hot for a long time with the top closed. It has a very tight seal. 4. Always rinse the rice a couple times to remove extra starch and clean the rice. Many videos online. Doing so will keep the rice less sticky and more fluffy. 5. Speaking of fluffy. A little while after the rice is cooked, take the plastic serving spoon it came with and break up the rice to make it more fluffy. 6. I use a 1:1.25 ration of rice:water and it comes out perfect every time! IE 1 cup of rice with 1.25 cups of water. 2 cups of rice with 2.5 cups of water. Etc. It NEVER fails! 7. ENJOY YOUR YUMMY RICE!

It passes the test as a non stick stainless-steel pot.
I have always used and preferred the "Tiger" brand rice cooker because it cooks rice perfectly, and the rice at the bottom of the pot never gets hard or yellow from sitting in the warmer too long, and the rice doesn't dry out. However, I have been shopping for a non-teflon stainless-steel rice cooker to avoid the toxins that come with the coated pots. I purchased the Oyama CFS-F12B Rice Cooker, Stainless: What I Like about it was that It keeps rice warm as many days as you need it to, and the rice does not stick to the pot. Note however: if it is sticky rice it will stick a little bit, but it is easy to wash off. The stickiness of the rice to the pot is so minimal I would still say it passes as a non-stick pot. Also, if you leave the rice cooker on warm for several hours, the rice at the bottom will get dry and harden and turn yellow as the hours pass. But if you turn it off and eat it right away this does not happen. It makes rice nice and fluffy, or more dense depending on how much water you use. You can use the recommended 1 to 1 ratio or add more water or less water depending on your preference for the pefect pot of rice.

Makes delicious rice once the ratio of rice to water is figured out
To begin, this cooker makes excellent rice and it is NOT in an aluminum pan. Unfortunately, the directions for rice to water ratio in the manual are incorrect, so it has taken some trial and error to get the right rice to water ratio, especially with brown rice. My husband discovered that 2 cups of brown rice to 5 cups of water turn out perfect brown rice, and 3 cups of mixed grains (jasmine rice, brown rice, and quinoa) with 6 and 1/2 cups of water makes that trio turn out really well too. The jasmine by itself is the standard 2 cups of water to one cup of rice, so I think we've figured out the majority of ways we need to use it for now. This cooker would have been rated 5 stars by me if the clean-up wasn't so involved. Besides the pan, there's a top plate that needs to be removed and scrubbed down, and a little side cup that gets the condensed steam in it (which drips from the lid when it's opened). The whole rim of the cooker (lid and base) also needs to be cleaned out after every use. I do wish that the lid came completely off, but it is very nice that the cord is removable, and can be stored inside the cooker. We have only used the included steamer once, but it is a nice feature. Overall, I am very happy with this cooker, and we look forward to many years of great rice cooking with it.

good product & good value
Works well so far. The only issue is : The cooking capacity is not the same as it descripted : The size is 7 cups "uncooked rice " but turn out it's only 7 cups " cooked rice ".

thanks for nothing
Probably used this 20 times before the on/off switch decided to hide up inside the machine? Never damaged or even looked at sideways! This should have lasted 20 yrs like our old rice cooker not 20 times! Cheap Chinese manufactured garbage! and we can not even get it warrantied because of the crappy Amazon coverage! Total fail all the way around!

Small & cooks perfectly
We've had this rice cooker for a couple of months now. Although we don't use it every day, we've used it enough to know that the rice actually never sticks. The bowl is a very light grade steel but seems to work better than our old rice cooker which had a heavier grade steel bowl. Our old one (Tatung) had rice stick on to it every time, even if we unplugged it early and left the lid on. This one surprisingly, does not stick at all. I do always unplug it first and let it sit for a few minutes so that probably helps, but it didn't work for my old rice cooker. This cooker is also significantly smaller (seems like half the size) than my old 10 cup rice cooker but it still cooks 7 cups. The rice comes out soft and fluffy, not soggy at all and doesn't over flow or bubble all over the place either, like the ones with the loose metal/glass lids would, or even my old one when my husband put too much water in it. Very happy with this purchase.

Cord is hard-wired.
The rice cooker is not as solid as our last one. The lid seems kind of loose. As well, our last rice cooker had a cord that was detachable. This one is hard-wired, so when we bring it to the table, the cord is hanging around our plates.
