large comfortable handles

Love these kitchen scissors for the large, comfortable, open handles. Nice for arthritic hands, and large enough for husband's hands. Have always had good luck with this brand.

The scissors come apart too easily

I often use the scissors to open boxes, and when opened all the way, the two pieces separate! Apparently some love that feature because it makes them easy to clean. I find it a disadvantage for one of my frequent uses. They are fine to use for cutting, but I wouldn't buy this style again.

I really like these they have a satisfying snick

Yes you heard that right they make a noise when they close and I'm not just bragging about that for no reason when scissors do that that means the blades are typically very flat and very level with each other and you get a very good cut if scissors blades don't do that you typically have some Boeing in the Machining process and you get an inferior inaccurate cut does this matter as much on culinary shears as it would cloth shears or leather working shears no not really but it's satisfying to know it's good quality and yes I can definitely say Oxo is good quality I really enjoy them I haven't had any problems and I was even able to Shear through some duck bones also I thought that I would need a tool to detach the scissors and separate them you do not in some cases they detach quite easily so if you hang them up be careful that you don't hang them up wide open because you might wake up at 3:00 a.m. hearing something fall and be convinced somebody's breaking in when no it's just the scissors falling into your sink

They rust

Really great sizzors but they get rust spots. I combat this by rubbing a little bit of oil on them but it's disappointing from such a reliable brand.

Can you guess where these scissors are made? Yep, they're MADE IN CHINA. They have sharp stainless steel blades & are easy to use, even for hubby who is left-handed. Hand washing is recommended, but the heck with that. They're going in the dishwasher.
