Finally found the perfect in ground box - septic clean out

Used this to lower my septic leach field clean outs below ground level for easy mowing. Perfect for 4" pipe clean out.

Used it to keep dirt out of my water main shutoff.

I used this to keep dirt out of my water main shutoff after a landscaper brohe the cast iron casing with a Bobcat (I can only suspect but can't accuse.) Looks a lot better than the red plastic coffee can I had as a temporary cover. This hides the upside down plastic pudding container keeping the dirt from falling in.

Pleased with purchase

This seems to be made of good quality material. Appears to be sturdy. Not yet placed. Still deciding the insulation I want to use inside as I want to us this to cover faucets during winter months. Expect finished product to work as I need.

Much shorter than box

I guess I assumed this would be as tall as my valve boxes, but it is much shorter. Of course you want the drain valve to be lower than the rest of the system, but then the box top is not level with the valve box top! anyway, we configured the hole below this to be lower than the valve boxes, so the shut off valve is lower than the manifold, however, that means the shut off valve is not covered by this circular box. Other than that it should work fine.

Use to protect electrical chord

We just poured a new concrete patio. We had PVC pipe laid prior to pouring to keep extension chords, low voltage cables and speakers wires out of the way and prevent tripping. I installed 2, one on each end and routed an extension chord between them. Super simple and will make running electric easy. Sturdy, no issues.

Good Product

Nothing to complain about. If this is what you need, then you find that it's an excellent value. Shipping to my Canadian address came a day or two later than expected but, other than that, it perfectly fits my needs. I'm using it to mark, protect and cover my city water supply shutoff valve. I will probably get another one to do the same for an underground electrical conduit outlet in my backyard.

Worked fine with 1-1/4 PVC Valve, decent quality

I used plenty of these at a previous job in irrigation from different brands. This one was just as good as any other, for a great price. I used it to sink a pool bottom drain valve below grade so that it could empty the pool more completely and I sloped the rest of the pipe evenly so there would be no standing water. Worked out great, to hide a big white PVC 1-1/4 NPT valve with the big red T handle, and there’s room in there for my hand to operate it. I went even further and buried a patio stone under this box so the bottom of it isn’t just earth. Geotextile and crushed stone also do fine.
