Dull quickly

Love my rotary cutter but the blades tend to dull quickly and chip easily. I purchased spring loaded scissors to use instead

Rotary Cutters, pros and cons!

I've tried other rotary cutters and Olfa is far superior to others. I found the price to be more than reasonable, and making quilts for charity as I often do, and as a seasoned citizen with a tight budget, the cost and convenience is important. Amazon's stocking and delivering the product promtly at a fair price is great! The local shops that carry this product often charge outrageous prices and sometimes do not even stock the type one wants to purchase, and buying from retail sources or on line can delay in one's progress. This product has been an absolute Godsend to every quilter and seamstress I know. Yes, I use it for regular sewing as well. But there is one precautionary note that I must share: NEVER drop an open blade on bare feet...it is VERY painful, as I found out to my great sorrow! Be smart, CLOSE THAT BLADE holder! It's a great product, but not for careless old ladies or little kids! Janice O.

Best choice to use a 60mm Rotary Cutter

Very sharp blades... These cut through my canvas material with ease. I use them in conjunction with the large 60mm diameter OLFA Rotary Cutter (http://amzn.to/2dC11Pk) I was previously using shears to cut out 4" wide strips of material and then I switched to this Cutter and blades. These make the job so much faster and made my cuts much more accurate. I chose the larger diameter as I make longer 36" long cuts at a time and the larger diameter blade means less rotating of the blade is required making the sharpness last a bit longer. I use this in conjunction with a 36"x48" Self Healing Mat (http://amzn.to/2dKrNkB) and a O'Lipfa 4" Wide Straight Edge (http://amzn.to/2dntG7f).

now and forever the best rotary cutter there is

I foolishly bought another brand of rotary cutter last year, and not only did the mechanism not work properly, but the blades weren't sharp nor could they be sharpened. I'm back to Olfa, now and forever the best rotary cutter there is. The blades seem to be sharper and keep the blade longer than other brands. These were such a bargain for 5 in a package! Meant to order two little packages, but mistakenly ordered double. That's all right. They will come in handy and I won't have to run to a store and end up paying much more. Stick with the Olfa. Amazon has the bargains.

Great product that is hard to find

Being a quilter, I like to keep plenty of these blades on hand. Most shops do not keep 5 pack 60mm refill blades. After deciding I would have to start back buying individual blades, I turned to Amazon on a hunch that there was a possibilty they would handle them. What a pleasant surprise to discover they had exactly what I was looking for. I realized they handled some quilting supplies but wasn't sure about these. When I can't find an item I need, a bell goes off and I remember to check Amazon out. Also, they really know how to package their merchandise so that it arrives in excellent condition. Please let me also mention that it was a great money saving bargain.

Best quality

You can pay less for rotary blades but you won't save money. These blades outlast cheaper blades and cut better.

product was PERFECT

The blades were just as described but came in individual pkgs (instead of 5 pk as described) - no problem, I can deal with that. Shipping time on the other hand I think was HORRIBLE. So many other reviews had excellent shipping time....mine was 1 day over the final day estimated. Did rec'v email from seller that AMAZON states shipping time & that AMAZON did not allow discount on shipping when multiple purchases of same item. Still not so sure want to deal again - even if BEST BUY around! Sure wish we could come to happy medium, as my quilting guild friends would surely benefit from this sellers great prices.

Brand name product, by the company that first marketed the rotary cutter (Olfa). It's the real thing. Product delivers sharp and smooth cuts. Discount for buying multiple blades means unit cost is less than you'd pay for and individual blade on Amazon, much less than local craft/fabric stores.
