Not worth more than $30
I bought these slippers to replace a pair of LL Bean ones I had received as a gift a year or two ago. I saw these slippers were similar in price to the LL Bean ones. So I put them in my cart for later. Recently, I saw that they had dropped in price--a bit lower than 50%--so I bought them. My expectation was that they would be superior because they retailed for the same price but didn't have the big name recognition. When I got them and tried them on, they were noticeably inferior to the LL Beans. The slipper doesn't hug my feet like I would like them to. If tried tightening the laces as much as possible to no avail. All in all these are decent slippers but definitely not worth their retail listing. If plan on spending that much on slippers, do yourself a favor and get the LL Beans. Otherwise, make sure you pick these up when they drop below 50% off. These slippers do have a "softer" sole compared to the Beans. This makes them considerably quieter when walking on hardwood/laminate/tile/linoleum.

My third pair
I used to buy the minotoka slippers. Old friend real sheep skin lining is so comfortable and keep your feet warm. End of story. I usually where 8 1/2 shoes. These I get in 9 because of the sheep skin. They do have other slippers. These are the best and a little more money.

Made in China poor quality for the price
I read a lot of reviews on these slippers and people seemed to like them a lot so I bought a pair. The slippers arrived in a nice box, and I was impressed over the box they were in its a fancy box with all sorts of instruction on how to wash and care for the product. Then I open it and take the slippers out, and Im examining them, and right away I see some small patches of the fur lining sticking out of the bottom sole on the side where it was sewn. Well not really a big deal, I took a pair of scissors and trimmed it down, but the point is these slippers were very poorly assembled in my opinion. To pay this kind of money I would expect a quality product, and these are definately not quality. I put them on, and they do fit, and they are fairly comfortable, I wear an 8 1/2 shoe, so I ordered a size 9 because of the fur lining, and they do fit, but I have had about 5 pair of moccasin slippers that were lined inside and every pair I have owned previously were great and comfortable also , and they were about half the price of these slippers. So far I have had them for about a month, and I wear them every day almost all day. Some people say they fall off or the back slips off but mine have never done that they are a snug fit due to the sheep wool lining which is very thick. This lining will compress over time, and the slipper will get a bit loose fitting I expected that but they fit ok. What I am very upset over is that they tell you these are all quality " hand made " and they are the very best you can buy, and I was under the impression they were made in the USA. Well the label says Made in China on them, and from my experience over the years is anything from China is junk. Who's going to go to China to see if these are made by hand? And how come the sheep lining was all sticking out around the stitching of the slippers? I had to trim them and I seriously doubt they are hand made. I wont buy anymore of this brand, I'll stick to buying the twenty dollar slippers I've had in the past they were just as comfortable and believe it or not they were made in the USA. Why dont you send them back you say? Well, they fit, they are comfortable and I'd be out more money to ship them back so I'll just keep them and learn a lesson. I dont know what all the fuss is over " Old Friends " products, I'm really not impressed by spending sixty dollars on a Made in China slipper, I also doubt the lining is real sheep wool as the box says, whos going to take a sample and send it out to get tested? I always avoid Chinese products when I can. My appliances are older and I've gone to garage sales, and estate sales and bought some really nice American made older appliance like vacuum cleaners, and kitchen appliances and they last and last. Personally I dont think these slippers will last long, I've worn mine outdoors a bit, and I notice already some wear on the rubber soles, after all its cheap Chinese material and probably has very little rubber in them. So in closing I'd just like to say that these are not worth the money they get, and they should state on Amazons description that they are Made in China. Buy American made, from America with pride by American workers. This is why our Nation is just about out of jobs today, we've allowed our government to ship all our jobs to China and the products made there are pure junk. I'll never buy Old Friends product again. Shame on Amazon for not disclosing the Coutnry of origin of this product.

Huge improvement over my last pair of slippers
My last pair of slippers were a pair of Florsheim cow-suede upper/synthetic fur lined moccasins that I bought locally. My feet apparently sweat quite a bit and I found those slippers would start to get wet and would be tremendously difficult to get dry again. I'd frequently need to kick them off for hours at a time, only to slip them on and find cold and wet slippers wrapping around my feet -- the complete opposite of comfort. Not to mention that the suede upper on those actually ripped over time (not even at a seam, just the material itself). So, I decided there had to be better slippers out there. After quite a bit of research I found these Old Friend slippers and they are such an improvement. My feet still sweat. I'm not sure there's any way around that. But I seem to be able to kick these off for just a few minutes and when I put them back on they're dry and oh-so cozy again. Even when they do get a bit damp it's quite minor and barely noticeable. I guess that's the benefit of sheepskin lining. Speaking of which, the lining in these doesn't seem to crush nearly as much as the synthetic fur. Every time I put these on they feel about as great as the day I received them. I've been wearing them every day for almost 2 months now, and I'm very happy with them. The upper seems well made and sturdy, there's a ton of padding, the lining is super comfortable, and the sole is durable enough that I don't mind wearing these on a quick errand at all. As stated, there's quite a bit of padding throughout these, so they might feel a bit tight around the foot until they break in. The size is spot on compared to the majority of shoes that I buy at least (size 12). Update: 02/28/2016 My first pair of these failed when the sole split down the side. I believe they lasted about a year. I really do wear slippers almost all day though, so I don't see that as totally unexpected. Since then I've tried a few other pairs of slippers, including the Old Friend Washington, and none have been even close to as comfortable as these are. I look forward to putting these on my feet. They're not perfect, and I'll continue to try other brands to see what else is there, but after those fail me I'll come right back to these Old Friend Moccasins.

Awesome slippers
These slippers were a present for my husband and he absolutely loves them. The insides are soft and cozy and the suede outside looks really nice. The material is good quality. The soles are not too soft or too hard. Great to walk in around the house and safe treads. They are easy to slip on and off without bending over. I highly recommend these. One of the best slippers he’s had.

Invest in these slippers- comfortable, practical and they last forever!
I bought these to replace the pair of Old Friends my boyfriend has had for seven years- even after all that time they were still super comfortable and the soles hardly wore out at all! But they looked mangy since he used them indoors and out and even took them camping and hunting. Can't believe how high quality these are and how long they lasted him. He's not even throwing out the old pair as they're still useable- he's keeping them as outdoor only slippers! Well worth the price as you won't wear these out and the seams don't wear out like cheap slippers. Only thing that wears down over time is the moccasin lining (the thick fluffy stuff inside) but even then they still fit, they're just not as snug!

Attractive, well made slipper
The product is very attractive and beautifully finished. The only problem, and the reason I did not give a perfect score, was the fit, which I found loose on the heel and tight on the ball.
