Buyer beware

This product does NOT work well on carpeting, or other soft surfaces. Unless the floors in your home are primarily tile, linoleum, or hardwood flooring, this will be a huge waste of money. My cat does interact with it though, so that's a plus... I just had to figure out it doesn't work on carpet the hard way. Also, invest in good batteries, as this thing will very quickly drain the cheap ones.

Fun!

Fun! My kittens followed it around. If they get sick of the ball you can remove the tail & attached to a stick. You could also add another attachment to the ball if you got creative enough. I use this with regular batteries & I use it with rechargeable batteries. It does well getting itself out of spots that other toys would get stuck in. Easy to clean. Easy to assemble. My dog also liked it ;)

Not that great

I thought this ball would move around a lot more. All it does is jiggle in one spot. My cat had no interest in it.

Only half designed for a cat!

[Smokey and Tiger asked me to write this review for them.] First, we found the big blue ball WAY TO BIG. Sure, this "thing" is battery-operated, but the ball is "DOG-SIZED!!!" Yet, we love the orange tail!!! For whatever reason, this tail is our favorite item to chase (or bite and carry around if the ball were not SO HEAVY!). This toy would be worth its full price just for this tail. In fact, the ball is now tailless. We wanted to play with the tail soooo much that we had the staff attach it to another toy! And so, this tale (err tail) ends here. Smokey and Tiger

Ok if it worked better

It’s a cool concept but it doesn’t stay on long and the batteries run out of it quickly. The first one we got I had to return and get a replacement because it stopped working completely within the first week.

Like a giant static ball

Few things that could improve this. #1 turn it on and off without opening it. #2 auto shut off. #3 a material that isn't like a ball of static that attracts every tiny particle on the floor. #4 changeable accessories. My cats got bored before I needed to change the batteries. Mine continued to run until the batteries died which was about 4 hours. It tends to only spin in the same direction also which can cause it to get stuck frequently.

Could have been so much better

Picture is after one day, light use. Had to keep them from ingesting the material that came off. Has a loud, useless, spinning feature you cannot turn off that scares the cats away from it. Lights are too bright as well. Seems like it uses all of its battery power on useless "not fun" features and it can easily use up a pair of AAAs in a day. If instead they just made it roll around it would actually be an okay toy. The chaser is cheap and tore apart on Christmas day. Probably a 5-6 dollar toy until they make it actually usable. Batteries not included.
