Takes time to install

Actually, not my time though. Based on the reviews, I put a heavy dumbbell (standing upright) on top of the seal and left it for about 4 hours. Then put the seal on the flush valve, lined up the valve with the clip indents, pressed firmly from the rear, and it turned right in. Thought this would be easier than compressing the seal and freezing it as others recommended.

I recommend watching a video on You Tube prior to installation.

Use OEM product. You don't want an inferior product for this repair.

Perfect fit!

Helpful tip, squeeze and squish and clamp between two tiles or boards and freeze for 24 hrs for easy installation. Fits perfectly, no leaks!

Plumber wanted to replace the whole toilet. All it needed was this part to be replaced.

When I turned off the water, the tank water level went below the flapper level. Which meant that the easy for not the flapper only. With this part, it now works perfectly. No more leaking.

Perfect fit for my Kohler 3386 San Raphael toilet

The thickness is perfect. Work it in your hands a little first to soften it up. It takes some careful pressure on the drain tube to compress it in place without breaking anything, but fit perfect. Wouldn't want it any thinner - it would leak.

Difficult to install because of shape of our toilet bowl, not because of the seal itself. It does fit and stopped the leak.

easiest method to install

The installation method that worked for me was to squeeze it as flat as possible between two pieces of wood and compress with C clamps and then leave in freezer for a day. Once you take it out of the freezer and remove the clamps you need to work as quickly as possible as it will start to expand.
