Great bit! Ignore the bad reviews!
This is an awesome bit for the money. I use it with a Dewalt DCD460B Stud and joist drill. It’s a beast of a drill and the bit handles it just fine!

Works too well
So, they're not kidding. This thing chews through wood. That being said, the torque is crazy once it bites. I was trying to cut through some joists at an awkward angle, and the drill kept popping out of my hand. Operator error, sure, but I tried different drill settings and tried holding on tighter, but I'm not kidding... that torque is intense and you need to be ready. I ended up having to buy a separate bit. One other thing to note, is once you start a hole, you have to continue it to the end. It's hard to keep drilling a partially drilled hole due to the way the bit is designed.

Hefty drill bit.
This thing is hefty! It is solid, and the screw tip helps to guide you, and keep you stable as you drill. I have used it to drill through 1 inch solid oak panels to create pathways for wires in wired entertainment system, and haven't had any issues.

Large diameter bit perfect for wood plumbing and electrical
Loved the size, I think they could really sell alot of stubby bits like this if they made them available. Plumbers and electricians would purchase them.

Excellent bit
Very effective bit for hardwood.

Caution: very cheap, do not use powerful drill
Inexpensive so don't expect much. Used a 20V drill and it broke it apart in seconds. Use caution when using and do not use on hard woods or anything that could cause binding.
