Works great

Purchased this needle scaler about a year 8 months ago, not through Amazon but through another website. This needle scaler is a beast, I’m a heavy equipment welder and I use this to remove loose rust, remove paint in areas I can’t get into with a grinder, aswell as remove asphalt when working on paving equiptment but mostly I use it to remove slag once I’m done welding. I am not easy on this tool, constantly dropping it, kicking it, just tossing it off to the side out of my way, and dragging it by the air hose across the concrete shop floor, and it’s still running just as good as it was when new, haven’t even changed the spring or had any of the needles break yet. I recommend this scaler with 100% confidence that it will do whatever you need it to do 24/7 7 days a week. Only thing I do make sure to do before I use it every time is I put some PB blaster Air tool oil through it, before every use. Doesn’t matter if I’m only using it for 1 minute, I put air tool oil in it. These tools are not getting any cheaper so I try to take care of them where I can …. Hope you have as good of luck as I have had with this tool!!!

works great for frame scale. its a beast. used solid for 3 days no issues. Much more power than the smaller Harbor Freight one i had used before. expect a good arm workout.

Don't cheap out. One and done

You can buy a needle scaler from the auto store for much cheaper. The trigger will fail first on those. As a steel worker, this is the correct tool for the job. I use it mostly when stick welding to remove slag

the outer casing surrounding the needles, that all for depth adjustment, is not heavy duty at all.

does what it needs to just fine but the metal casing that allows for depth adjustment of the needles and worn down to the point ive had to drop the needles down to the next setting after just a few months of consistent use. It does hold a candle to a scaler such as a texas pneumatic.

I'm very upset.

Purchased this for my husband as surprise. He's a heavy equipment mechanic. I was told by friends/family, buy ingersoll, buy ingersoll.... Got it in the mail end of March. Finally gave it to him beginning of April. He's used it MAYBE a dozen times. If that! And today, he informs me it broke. "The hammer broke". He does not abuse his tools. In fact, they are his babies. I joke he takes better care of his work tools than he does our own house. These aren't cheap. Just very disappointed and upset. They don't make anything like they used to. And they certainly don't make things to last.....in this case, even a month. smh

Top shelf tool for industrial work

I've been using this scaler provided by my employer for past 6 years. Recently I purchased a needle scaler from a different company with my own money. I loved it at first but within short time the anvil broke. They gave me a replacement but thatanvil broke too within short time along with chisel vibrated out about every 5 min. I decided to return thescaler for refun. I know what is dependable, it's the Rand. The Rand hasn't failed, it's powerful and designed to be used at higher psi than most. I invested in Rand from another seller, not Amazon but as long as it's sold by Ingersoll Rand then you can trust it if ordered from Amazon. Enjoy!
