I use this as a house decoration, not a bird house.

This is a beautiful perfectly made little house. I'm not calling it a bird house because I have five of them and I have them all inside as house decorations. This is beautiful. Also, I would never put this outside since I live in Florida and not much can take the FL sun, storms, etc. I am hooked on these adorable houses. Yay for Home Baazar, they are first class.

not really for the birds

This came in precious. I sealed it like the pamplet said to do for use out doors. After a very mild winter...it is falling apart. I have asked my husband to take it down as it looks awful. This is of good quality if you only want it for decoration in a sun room or something but do not put it outside.

Not suitable for outside, absolute junk, falling apart after 3 months

This arrived and looked very cute. Claimed it was for outside and was a functional birdhouse. I sealed it like they said but was already questioning how it was going to stay together when even a lot of the very small pieces were made of plywood. It arrived April 2, 2021, I mounted it around April 15, 2021, and as suspected, the plywood is delaminating, the chimney that is sitting on a little piece of plywood has completely fallen apart, the shingles are buckling, etc. It's June 6, 2021, so less than three months mounted. Absolute junk. Don't fall for their claims that this is suitable for outside or is functional in the least.

Not worth the money!

I followed the instructions and applied two coats of high UV in order to protect outside.... however in just one season it looks like it’s ready for an episode of this old house. Pieces are falling off and the paint is chipping throughout. I would not expect this from a “fully functional” bird house.

Birdhouses by Claire Murray are not as advertised for outside use. Even when sprayed with protectant, they fall apart very quickly and should not be used outside as was intended
