Works for me

I can crank my 14' outboard on to the Traylor with ease because the size of real gives me great leverage. Good strong strap I can rely on. The hook is easy on easy off and sturdy. The first few times I used it the strap slipped on the real but now the inner strap has settled in that doesn't happen. I always use a chain to secure the boat to the Traylor but I have seen no slippage from this crank.

Falling apart

Been using it for almost 2 years. Something came apart and the hand crank is now loose and falling off. It appears a bushing has fallen out. Not sure what it looked like, because it’s gone now. Very disappointed I didn’t get more use out of it.

Works, but very tight clearance

The winch works great. I just wish it was a little “beefier”. The handle is barely wide enough to clear the mounting bracket and allow rotation without rubbing the mount. If the handle had an outward bend it would be much better, giving a little more clearance from the mounting bracket to turn.

Perfect for 16 whaler

I’m currently using this for a 17 foot whaler and it totally pulls the boat up with no issues. The only problem I have with this winch is sometimes the locking mechanism gets stuck and then releases by itself.

Well built

Was impressed with how well built this winch was. Not a light weight toy. Expect it to Las awhile. Installed on my sailboat trailer (freshwater). Operates smoothly with a good size hook.

Nice boat crank

Trailer winch works ok but the leaver for forward and reverse doesn’t work. I have to manually switch it by hand. So it will crank in or out. If not it will not lock crank.

The price point is excellent.

I am using the winch to raise and lower a ramp for my dog to get in and out of the water. Works perfectly and more importantly safely. It operates as a great winch outside of the use on a boat trailer as long as you can secure it soundly.
