HUGE!

This was a lottt bigger than I was expecting -- I ordered this for my daughter since she loves drawing and anime and she was super excited to use it. The only thing I would suggest is maybe using a separate notepad because she said the markers bled through the paper in the book when she used them.

Great value for a teen who loves manga

This would make a nice gift for a teen if you want to get away from the gift card route which has become so easy and convenient but is not terribly creative. The book provides drawing and artistic inspiration and instruction, and the set comes with enough markers in interesting colors to get started on this art form. Of course it's not meant to be a comprehensive set, but it can be a spark of inspiration.

Great gift

I like and don't like this all the same. The paper, markers, and tip book are all top tier. However I honestly think many that would like this might want more than what this is exactly. It would be best to combine this with a larger kit of ink. The tips are beginner mostly, so expect to grow out of the curve pretty quick.

The instructional guide book is very good and the markers are fresh with vibrant colors. It would make a nice gift.

Nice size and print, good overview of basic info for drawing

Very bright and colorful, large size and looks impressive. The book part isn't as large as it seems as it's glued to the edge of the cardboard, I included a side shot to show the thickness of the book. It goes over some very basic but good guidelines for drawing people and proportions. Details about how to map out the face and I did really enjoy the manga specific comments about face shape, chin shape, eye size as it relates to creating different types of standard anime characters. The markers are decent, good color and very basic, limited in what you get of course but this is to learn.

This is a nice drawing set.

We got this for my daughter to use. It arrives in a box, ready to use. It seems to be made well. The markers work well and are vibrant. The book is comprehensive and even though my daughter has a lot of drawing experience, she is learning from this. We would buy this again.

Art loving daughter is enjoying it

I’m not going to lie. I accidentally ordered this thinking it was something else art related. My daughter (age 10) loves all things art and is enjoying this even though it’s not really her style. I would imagine someone into this style of drawing or art would absolutely love it to learn these basic art concepts. Below are a few things she has said about it. Markers - Work well - Nice Colors - Nice, not cheap, markers Book - Teaches how to draw a person - body and face - Helps with drawing faces from different angles - Great to learn Anime style facial features
