Die schön kompakte, zweifach gefaltete Geldbörse Big Skinny Metro verfügt über zwei Ausweisfächer mit durchsichtigen Fenstern, die sich hervorragend für Personen mit mehreren Ausweisen oder ÖPNV-Karten eignen. Diese Version des Metro Bi-Fold verfügt über eine Außenseite aus genarbtem Rindsleder und eine Innenseite aus dem ultradünnen Nylon-Mikrofasermaterial von Big Skinny, wodurch es dünner als eine typische Brieftasche bleibt. Der Metro Bi-Fold fasst bis zu 20 Plastikkarten in seinen beiden extrabreiten Kreditkartenfächern sowie den durchsichtigen Ausweisfächern und verfügt außerdem über einen Geldscheinbereich zur Aufbewahrung von Bargeld oder Quittungen. Die extrabreiten Taschen sind mit einer gummierten Beschichtung ausgekleidet, um ein Herausrutschen der Karten zu verhindern. Die Metro-Geldbörse misst 3-1/2 x 4-1/16 Zoll (und ist im leeren Zustand 4 mm dünn). Die erste Big Skinny-Geldbörse wurde von Kiril Stefan Alexandrov (dem Firmengründer) entworfen, weil er es hasste, auf einer dicken, schweren Lederbrieftasche zu sitzen. Very nice. One tweak away from perfection.

This wallet is very nice. It's one tweak away, IMO, from being great -- even perfect -- for people who want an ultra-low-profile leather wallet. That tweak is this: currently, there are four inward-facing card pockets, two with clear ID windows. The front pockets (w/ID windows) go all the way to the outer edge of the wallets. The rear pockets also go all the way to the outer edge. This is bad. The back pockets tend to allow their contents to settle behind the contents of the ID pockets, where a) you can't see them, and b) they aren't spread out for minimum thickness. If Big Skinny puts one seam on either side, to keep the contents of the rear pockets closer to the middle, this wallet will be significantly enhanced. I'd be able to tell at a glance which side of the wallet contained my lesser credit cards, and which side had my loyalty cards and library card. And the overlap between those cards and the driver's license/main credit card in the two ID pockets would be cut down, so the cards would be spread out over the full width of the wallet. But don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. If you're in the market for a wallet, this is an excellent one. The leather is thin, but tough. Wallets, like belts, shouldn't be made of glove-soft leather -- they need to bear too much stress. The fabric lining, and the non-slip coating, are both very nice, managing to be both utilitarian and classy at the same time. (There IS some slippage, though; I don't think I'd feel 100% secure getting one of these wallets where the pockets didn't face in toward the spine of the wallet.) This thing seems quite durable, so it will be a few years before I need another wallet. Hopefully in the intervening years, Big Skinny comes out with Metro 2.0, and my lifelong search for the perfect wallet will be over. In the meantime, this one is more than satisfactory.

Great Wallet

I bought this as a replacement for the Bellroy Note Sleeve and it really seems to fit what I need it to while maintaining a slim profile at a much lower price. I hold about 8 bills, 3 cards, and a few paper cards that equal at least another plastic card in thickness. It still disappears in my back pocket and I am quite satisfied.

Amazing !!

Going from a thick leather Tri-fold to this skinny wallet was such a positive adjustment. PROS: It fits everything I had from the Tri-fold (cards, ID, Insurance, registration), and ends up being 1/4 the thickness. AWESOME !! CONS: The only thing I dont like is that its difficult to fit US Bills in the cash pocket. If you have time to neatly fit them into the slot, you can make it work just fine. If your in a busy store line, and your hands are full of bags, store receipts, cash, etc....then you end up just stuffing them in the pocket, and dealing with it later. Some people are fine with that. Its not ideal for me. I think I will try a Bi-Fold next, although, I dont think this will wear out for years.

Half the thickness of my old leather wallets, all the same content!

I have had my fill of full leather wallets, and these days with so many memberships, healthcare cards, etc, it was just too bulky, and eventually they would get so loose, the cards would fall out. I picked this up after reading reviews, watching videos, etc. So far after 2 weeks, it is a joy. I was able to fit all my cards into this (well over 12-15), and it takes up 1/2 the space of the old leather wallet I will now toss out. I will report back after a month of two of use, but so far, it is perfect for what I needed!

Thin and compact wallet

Love the wallet. Big skinny lives up to its rep, with this wallet at least. Giving 4 out of 5 stars because 1. The leather on the outside, to me, has an almost synthetic feel and shine & 2. I'm guessing it's because of the thinness of the wallet, but cash could sometimes be a hassle to get & out.

Excellent wallet! Pros: Fits all the cards I used in my old trifold and is less than half the thickness. The leather is of good quality. Cons: The cash is a tight fit, but since I rarely use cash this is not an issue. The brand marking is larger than I'd like. Now I just need to decrease the size of my keys...

Too small for actual money

Very slim, fits in front pocket fine. Ok if you don't need to carry very many cards. Main problem with it is it's too small for actual paper money. I have to really be careful trying to get bills to fit flat in it. Wondering if there's a slightly larger Euro-friendly version that would have the side effect of actually being able to comfortably hold American dollar bills.

Terrible material quality

The layout is great, but the material quality of the "leather" is terrible. Unfortunately the fabric ones aren't available on Amazon Canada, because I think I would enjoy that a lot more.

Great wallet, nice leather. Do yourself a favor and use an app like stocard to keep your wallet thin. I recommend this wallet, money well spent.
