Hard to open but possible, remote range is horrible when light is submerged. Works fine otherwise.

Yes the comments from others are true, the waterproof gasket makes it difficult to open with your bare hands. To those who are complaining and returned it because of that need to just try a little harder. I used two of those little rubber pads you use to open up stubborn glass jars and it it took about 5 seconds for it to twist apart. I threw in 3 rechargeable batteries and it works just fine. -The remote does suck, even with the light oriented properly with the little black sensor towards the top of the water it does not work well unless you are right next to it. This is only if the light is underwater completely, if you leave the sensor above the water you can easily control it from 20 feet away. -When you push the center button it will light up for 2 hours and auto turn off according to the manual. -If you have a large pool you may want two of these as some colors do not light up very well, the white & blue setting(s) works the best for brightness at least for me as it illuminates an entire 24ft pool decently. Overall a good concept, but poor execution with the crappy remote & remote sensor but it does work. But hey, I got it for 5 bucks on here *used-good* and it actually came brand new open box because the person before me probably couldn't twist the cover off to put in batteries. Their loss, my gain. I probably wouldn't pay full price for it but if another pops up on here open box I am going to snag it.

worth the price

They work great, the only issue is the remote. We literally had to get right up on the lights for the remote to work as long as the lights are submerged. And for those complaining about how hard it is to twist them open, they would be very water proof if they was easy to twist. I had NO issues using 2 hand to open them. I plan on buying 2 more..

Great for the price

We purchased this light for our 18' above ground pool. The remote is not very powerful. You need to get within a foot in order for it to work. Once the light is on and set, it is bright and great!

Lights up my whole pool

I like that it's bright enough to light up my entire pool on every color, except for red of course. I only purchased one and wasn't sure if it would be enough but it is. I have an 18'x52" intex above ground pool. The magnet works great, and I didn't want an expensive light that had to be plugged in to work. It is true that the remote does not work well unless you are right on top of it, or directly aimed at the back of it where the sensor is located. It still gets the job done and I am pleased.

Good - not much out there for above ground pool lights

Had to return 1/2 of them as they are EXTREMELY difficult to open the casing. The thing is this is probably the best inexpensive option for above ground pool lighting. Its OK , some of the lights randomly change colors as well. Glad we have them but it can be frustrating.

Not pleased at all with twisting apart to open in order to install batteries. Had to pry open.

Use the remote properly- aim at the backlog the pick from outside of pool.

The media could not be loaded. AWESOME! We got 3 for a 15x48 pool. For those who say it is not working- once u put on wall of pool, use the remote by aiming it at the puck from the outside of the soft side pool. Aim at the back of the light.( Don’t aim at to front of the light) get 3 at least ! Looks so cool.

Remote doesn’t always work

The lights are very bright in the pool and the remote is sketchy whether it works or not
