Felt cheap

Plastic and stiff

Should have scrutinized the description better, I was expecting something better, particularly paying for the Real Tree branding. This hat is 90% polypropylene and is very stiff compared to other hats of this type I own. Looked good in the photos..... a disappointment on arrival. My bad for not realizing this is a plastic hat. Will be looking for a nice cotton or fabric hat for comfort. The crush-able part is only top down, the brim is very stiff. A bit to much sheen, concerned I will be reflecting light when used for birding photography.

Thin and light

This hat may be waterproof, but, its not going to do anything to keep you warm. May be better with a liner underneath. Paper thin. Be careful.

Waterproof and Lightweight

This hat is really waterproof. Used it on an Elk Hunt for a week in rainy Western Washington State. This hat endured several pounding rain storms and kept my head totally dry all the time. The material is very light and wearing a fleece cap underneath it works great since the hat has a tightness strap at the back. There is also a chin strap to keep it on your head or from blowing off in windy weather. It folds up to fit in your cargo pocket or day pack. The band has a plastic wand on the edge of the rim. Mine poked thru in the back so I just nipped off an inch so it has some room to flex when folding it up. Ready to use it for Duck Hunting now.

Kept me dry.

Product true to image presented. Fits comfortably and kept my head/face dry. Would recommend.

Comfortable

I love this hat. I love this hat, in case I didn't mention that. For one I've always hated real tree print but I've been getting into wildlife Photography and well, I need to blend in my surroundings a little more. I ride my bike a lot on trails looking for wildlife and this hat stays in place! It's also comfortable around my head. Usually headbands and things begin to bother me but this hasn't bc the tension is adjustable. It's also nice bc it's bendable so I can easily tuck it away in my new tactical fanny pack. (yes, i went there too lol). I've also used the hat when hiking and does a nice job keeping your face protected from the sun. I would recommend this hat and actually have to my other photog friends.

It will keep rain off your head and from going down your neck

I only give it 4 stars because of the material. Don't know what it is but it feels like paper so I don't know how long it will last. Pros, It does a great job of deflecting rain and it actually is pretty warm. One of the best things is you can take it off and roll it up and put it in your pocket. I would buy another one.

Near perfect boonie out of the box.

It Fits. That a gigantic plus right off the bat. I have an awkwardly small hat size so finding hats that fit can be a challenge. If you wear over about a 7 1/2 this will be too small. It has a nice adjustment cord in the sweat band that works well and is comfortable. It's a Frogg Togg, so water repellent is a given, and the brim is nice and wide for shade and to keep the drips away from your collar. The brim is also a little stiff so you could use it to keep a bug net off your face as well. Only initial complaint, the fabric is a little "crinkly" so I'll have to be careful of it making noise while hunting. I'll update the review after I get a season of hunting under it.

Very cool looking but on thinner side

Was very excited about this cool looking hat, but when I received it I was a bit disappointed since it appeared too thin, so I ordered one more and inserted it into the first one creating one single hat out of two, stitched up the brims into one hat, stitched up the tops and now it is one helluva hat. It going to be 100% rain proof after I have applied a few layers of clear silicon spray which people use to water proof their tents. As a result, I will be owning one ultimate hat that rules them all lol.

Hat works great. Sat in rain for 8 hours and stayed dry.

It is breathable and waterproof and serves its purpose but feels cheap!

Works great, definitely waterproof, but it feels like a recycled paper bag or one of those cheap drawstring bags you get as a cheap promotional marketing gimmick !
