Good quality shirt

I wore this ass part of a costume for Halloween, dressed as Billy from Hocus Pocus. Got a lot of compliments on the shirt. I will probably wear it as a regular shirt under a jacket it is a thicker quality cotton

Not great, not terrible

Considering the relatively low cost (in comparison with some of the other options), I suppose I shouldn't be complaining... But for the benefit of those that have yet to make the purchase, I'll state what I was disappointed with. I purchased this with the intention of using it as pirate garb. It is labeled (on Amazon) as "Colonial", however the shirt I received was wrapped in plastic labeled as a "Vampire Shirt". I had hoped that this would be of better quality than the typical mass-produced Halloween costume (which is clearly what it was). I also assumed, based upon the misleading Amazon label, that it would be directly intended for portrayal of someone living in the 18th century. I was fairly disappointing with what I received. In addition, the shirt is held closed by a single tie at the collar, and the "ruffle" has a tendency to sit to one side, while exposing your chest/undershirt beneath it. I remedied this by removing the "ruffle" (not at all difficult to do, with little to no risk of damaging the rest of the shirt), and now I wear it with the collar untied, which looks much more authentic. In addition, it is worth noting that the shirt is not nearly as opaque as it is shown in the provided picture, and your skin will show through the fabric (at least if you're of European-decent). But, it was fairly cheap, so I'm not especially surprised by any of this, other than that it's a "vampire" costume being labeled as a "colonial" costume...

Puffy Shirt

JERRY: I - I can't wear this puffy shirt on TV! I mean, look at it! It looks ridiculous! KRAMER: Well, you gotta wear it now! All those stores are stocking it based on the condition that you're gonna wear this on the TV show! The factory in New Jersey is already makin' them! JERRY: They're making these?! KRAMER: Yes, yes. This pirate trend that she's come up with, Jerry, - this is gonna be the new look for the 90's. You're gonna be the first pirate! JERRY: (Like a little kid) But, I don't want to be a pirate!

Looks Great as a Pirate Shirt Too!!

The packaging and picture do not do the shirt justice! The shirt is a nice material and fits a smaller man very well. I would not recommend it for a large man. My husband usually wears a medium shirt and this fit him well. The ruffles stand out very well and do not lay flat, as in the picture. I took off one star because of the top of the ruffle not finished neatly. We solved the issue by taping it to the underside of the shirt collar.

Good for Large Women Too

Bought this for myself ( a girl) to wear under a pirate jacket. This was the only thing I could find at a reasonable price that equaled a women's plus size shirt. I was looking for something in a women's 2XL and this did the job. The sleeves were a little long, but under the jacket it was just fine. The shirt is long so it was tight around the hips, but it was tucked in so it didn't matter. I liked the fact that it was light weight. Mine looked exactly like the one in the picture, tie closer at the neck, ruffle sewn to one side of neck opening. Some ironing and the ruffle looked fine.

Better than I expected

I purchased this as part of a work appropriate costume. I am a borderline plus size female and I purchased the large standard size based on the chest measurements. I would say compared to some men's tshirts I have the sizing seems pretty close. I was looking for a frilly puffy pirate shirt that I wasn't popping out of and this will work perfectly. I haven't spent very much time wearing it yet but it seems to be of decent quality. Better than what I expected for the price.

Cheap overpriced costume

This can barely be called fabric how thin it is , I would expect this product to be sold for 15$ TOPS , at that price you can get a proper medieval ruffle shirt (what I was expecting) , returning.
