No good for transferring a patient to a wheel chair.

This will not hold the patient in anything approaching a sitting position because the top straps have no sections to allow this to happen. Drive medical sells a universal that has three sections in all the straps that help keep the patient somewhat upright. It's hard to use this one to transfer a patient to a chair or car. It works fine transferring a patient from a chair to a bed, however.

looks exactly like some others but is a little less bulky

Works well, looks exactly like some others but is a little less bulky. Quality good, should work and last for our purposes. We had a loaner sling that looked just like this one only with a bit more bulk and padding. This one seemed a little less quality but plenty goo enough.

Works well in an emergency

The one I had was way too large and this is the right size. The handles on the top could be a little longer for my mother who feels a little claustrophobic but we only use the lift for emergency and works very well for our needs.

Good safety.

Good price. Could not use head support as it was to stiff. Difficult to get to sitting position but it is workable and safe. Much easier to use than a regular seat sling. Is a great back saver for care giver.

Stiff and Hard to Work With

The leg sections are really wide and stiff as a board with sharp trim on the edges - they are hard to maneuver, not flexible and certainly not comfortable . Poor design features - I do not recommend.

and this Drive sling is the best I have used

I am sure I speak for others by saying our overriding thought about this sling is a wish we were not dependent on it, or any other. But those are the cards we have been dealt, so we will make the most of it, and this Drive sling is the best I have used. My 230 pound body is easily handled and the nurses find it simple to put on and remove. This style is a vast improvement over those that have to be worn all day in the wheel chair. Also to my eye the construction seems first rate.

Needs adjustable straps for upper body.

Quality is good. Really needs dividers on the upper straps. No way to adjust upper body to a more upright position for placing patient upright in a wheelchair from bed transfer.
