Light weight and convenient
It was a little stiff to install, but simple. For the price and convenience, it was worth is and served our purpose. I wouldn't say that it's very durable however... the locks stick sometimes, we are only concerned about our fur baby getting stuck outside, but so far so good. Given in goes into an enclosure catio, we are not so concerned about its durability. Being light weight was good for our cat, because she actually uses it without fear of it swinging back on her. More doorable ones deterred her use. All and all... I would definitely buy it again, for the type of set up we have... but not if it was open to the outside and element.

Does the job!
The media could not be loaded. Installation was difficult. I definitely felt I needed to reinforce the screen around the door for it to be sturdy. My dog quickly learned to use a dog door for the first time at 7.5y/o, and the locks keep the cat from running outside. Locking with the door slightly ajar in allows the dog to come inside but locks them from exiting again, which is a handy feature. The pet resistant screening was a great call so the cat can't scratch through it. Lost 1 star for difficult installation and needing different screws and such, 4 stars overall good product for the price.

Difficult to install, doesn’t lock, but worth the effort!
Review may sound a little negative so starting with the overall review… I love love love this concept and the doggie door once I finally got it installed. I know I need to clean up the overhang on rescreening the door. It was my first time doing so and it’s hot and humid as hell here. My installation experience and some feedback for the makers and others looking to purchase. After reading other reviews I figured I had to go rogue too and didn’t exactly follow the instructions. This was near impossible for me to install alone and I’m super handy with a full workshop that puts most contractors’ workshops to shame. Read other reviews. You definitely need real screws/bolts for this. The tiny picture frame screws provided won’t work so be ready for that with your drill and a planned trip to the hardware store. The 3/4” #6 bolts I bought weren’t long enough to drill straight thru and then cap, although 3/4” flush mount screws may have been the right length. Couldn’t find acorn caps anywhere so had to settle for the hex nuts. I tried with 3/4 and will need to take out and replace with 1” so I can add the nuts and cover the sharp screw tips (which I purchased for added security/stability). I left the overhang of screen on the outside. I’d feel better if the screen edges were bound or cloth taped after cut and before installing the swing door so I might add some gorilla glue tape when I disassemble and replace with the longer screws. And I may add a few more screws! TBD Super tricky to get perfectly straight and have the door and lock align because it’s already tricky to screw thru the screen while holding the screen of the door up from the flat surface holding the door, there’s no way to support a 12’ screen door while cutting and drilling randomly into the middle of it. When I finally finished and put the door back in the frame… it wouldn’t swing freely despite using levels to install. Needs a little extra push. Pup is smart and figured it out. Also note. An old metal screen would not have survived this project. I’d planned to out the door where the pup went they the old screen but ended up rescreening the door with new fiberglass mesh. “Lock” is completely useless. A paper clip would be more secure. IMO if I could align it and lock it, the lock will only serve to have the dog bust through the screen door again. Also two tiny little lock levers 6” off the ground is a hassle for me at this age or if you have anything else in your hands etc. Happy to report that it survived the first week! And honestly just very happy that the pup can run in and out more freely now!!!

Easiest Install Ever!
The media could not be loaded. I read so many reviews for so many products, and ended up choosing this product. I am so glad! The installation was so easy, I didn’t even need the instructions. I ended up putting this in a window because that worked best for me. I gave it 4⭐️ only because the locking feature isn’t perfect. If both locks are in place I can move the flap side to side and it will come out. I don’t need this because I will just shut the window. The size is large, my pup is 37 lbs and I have a cat. The hardest part about this whole thing is getting my animals used to using the door lol. If you are on the fence, look no further. This product is great!

PETSAFE SCREEN DOOR DOGGY DOOR
This is my review of the PetSafe Pet Screen Door. Spring is here and once again the pets are wanting out. Then back in, then out................ The screen door is getting quite the workout as is our nerves. I wish PetSafe had this in a medium (was not available, ANYWHERE) size but it works just okay for Fido and Kitty. Install today was super easy and took all of about 15 minutes. Right now we are doing training on the pets with door taped open for them and then once they have that down, the doggy door position comes down too. There may be a bit of a tricky part to the install. If your door screen is nylon, then use a designated groove (see manual) in the frame of the doggy door. However there is a second pictured groove and that is for use if your door screen is metal. Very self explanatory and easy. Recommended. UPDATE: May 17, 2018 The door has required 4 removal/replace to adjust and repair. Today the dog came through all excited (doorbell) and took the door right off the screen! The first install I did was too low despite holding down the cat and dog to measure shoulder height. Lots of scratches later, I had to move the door up 1.5 inches which is now better. I think it is as good as it will be now. UPDATE: June 1, 2018 The door keeps popping out of the screen so will try some tiny bolts I have to retain the door or better yet, install an acrylic piece along the base of the patio screen door to strengthen the whole install. UPDATE: June 19, 2018 HUGE THANKS to fellow reviewer Olivia. It was her review that suggested using screws to clamp the two halves together. The screen door fell apart AGAIN yesterday so got some tiny 6/32 hex nuts and bolts. Drilled a 1/8 inch hole in 6 places around the door and able to tighten it down really well. This will cure the issue.

Works and gives a clean look!
The media could not be loaded. We bought the small door for our 3year old Bichonpoo ( Bichon Frise / Poodle ). She is about 13lbs. The door worked as shown. I installed it the same time I installed a new screen because I had to take the door off and lay it down to hit it with the mallet to bring the two pieces together. My screen was vinyl, so I used the “B” groove ( the inner groove that gives you more screen to grab) to follow my knife and cutout. I filed down the two plastic nubs that lock the screen to almost flush, because when I went to open and close on our double glass doors it would slide the nubs as it passed the outer door. Works well and doesn’t get caught now. Time will only tell if it will last, but so far so good. I went in and out with treats and told her to stay until I closed the door and she came through to get the treat. The first two times I had to flick the door to show her that it moves she she understood. She was hesitant about it, but after going in and out she slowly began to trust the door and became more confident.

THE cheapest item I've seen
First, during installation, I immediately saw that there was not much that was going to hold the door in place. It's keeping it under "pressure" in the hope that it'll stay there... On the first try, my dog tore it apart. ???? The door doesn't clip ... So, I decided to glue everything ... with hot glue! Imagine, nothing can be return once the hole in the screen has been made...it's very poor quality plastic and a cheap mosquito net that could have been bought at the dollar store. And ! The lower the better, I put it a little too high so my dog have to do a little jump to go through and it's not ideal ????... why people put 5 stars to this ????????

I would definitely recommend it.
I installed this in a windows screen as the exit from the house into a cat run so my indoor cats could go outside. It was very simple to install following the instructions, and has been in the window for almost a full year now. It has a magnet in it, so the door swings for the cats to go in and out, but quickly closes to a full vertical position, which keeps out the mosquitoes. There is no wear and tear on either the door or the window screen after a year of constant use by two cats. I would definitely recommend it.

Must be screwed together
I have purchased 2 of these and installed 5 times - once because the screen was damaged, 4 more due to the door falling off the screen. If you want this thing to stay put, you need mechanical fasteners - screws, bolts rivets etc. I tried silicone then glue previously, and it got me an extra month or so. Make sure you pre drill the holes or the frame will crack. Otherwise it's a great little product. My cat was slow to take to it, but uses it most of the time now
