Not as good as my red ones

I have two other ones from the same company, except in red, but for some reason this one came in worst quality. My other two have no issues, but this one had a rod on the top fall off, and the hanger feels uneven and unsturdy despite proper installation. Thankfully I've only had one issue with the hanger snapping down on me and only with one bike, but since then both of my bikes have yet to fall from this rack. I worry a lot though.

Grat for the $

Really nice garage rack for the $ I have a heavy beach cruiser bike with every add on you can do to it and it needs the distance from the wall to fit my apehanger handlebars. Really is a good deal, just not so sure about it holding 2 adult bikes though. More a oversized 1 bike rack.

Great, simplistic, and very easy to install

The media could not be loaded. It’s easy to install. I have installed one in my airbnb within minutes and it holds a road bike very well. It’s not super sturdy so idk how well it would hold a heavier bike, For the road bike it works great!

Surprised!

I looked long and hard for a convenient, secure, easy to install wall rack for our two touring bikes. I've seen fancy ones, beautiful wooden works of art, floor to ceiling behemoths, some Rube Goldberg contraptions, and even one that only requires one screw in the wall! Nothing seemed to really fit the bill. I thought I would have to build my own, but I decided I would give this one a try, thanks to the guidance of some of the good reviews here. When I received the rack I was pleased that it seems a little more substantial than it looks in the photo. The protective rubber cushioning seems more substantial than I had expected as well. The mounting plate is decent, but not substantial enough to provide room for error should one of the screws loosen from the wall. Like many other reviewers I decided the screws that come with it would not provide a secure enough anchor to the stud, especially since we would be mounting two 30+lb touring bikes. I used 1/4 X 2 1/2 inch lag screws with washers for added strength. The holes in the mounting plate are just big enough for these. I drilled pilot holes in the wall and stud to make screwing the lags in easier, and to safeguard the integrity of the wood. Installation was simple and straightforward, and the accompanying instructions easy to follow. Now it was time to see if it could actually hold two touring bikes. I knew enough to face them in opposite directions, and with just a little adjustment, they both fit on there easily. At 30+ lbs, these bikes are at the limit of this rack's stated capacity, but I was very surprised that even with all this weight the rack still feels solid and secure, exhibiting a little flex, but still inspiring a feeling of confidence that it will hold up to anything short of a major earthquake. I will be monitoring for signs of fatigue, but so far, so good! All this, and the rack can fold down flat when you're not using it.

This double bike rack is very good, does the job. It is really easy to install; just drill a couple holes--into a stud!!--and drive the included screws in, and you are done. For those installations people posted that failed... I can only assume you missed the stud. There is no way the weight of a couple bicycles is going to pull a screw like the ones included out of a stud. The rack itself is pretty simple. I could ask for it to be just an inch or two deeper with more separation between where the two bikes sit. Our bikes have to be mounted in opposite directions, or the handlebars will interfere with each other. But it is awesome for getting them up off the floor and not resting on the tires during winter. One installation note: I ended up drilling a small hole just above the bottom lip that holds the rack support brace and put a screw through that. I was not so interested in being able to collapse the rack at any moment than possibly having it collapse itself if I bumped it up while attempting to put a bike on it. Putting a screw in just above that brace after installation ensures that cannot happen. The manufacturer could consider adding a latch to their design to allow easy collapsing when you want it but never when you don't. Update: 1 year later, this rack is still holding it's shape like on the first day. No issues and still strongly recommend it.

easy to install, folds away nicely

I needed a bike rack that could accommodate my bike's extra wide handlebars, and this one does. The hook parts where two bike could be supported are 12 inches and 18 inches from the wall when this is installed. That means two bikes would be only six inches apart. I'm not sure how well that would work, but since I needed the full 18 inch distance from the wall, it worked for me with just the one bike. Others have noted that the screws supplied to attach this to the wall appear inadequate. I agree. I swapped the screws out for something a little longer and heavier. I'd recommend that others do the same. The other nice part about this design is how it folds away when not in use. It's very easy to fold down flat against the wall, and the support arm is a good solid single piece that easily holds the weight of my relatively heavy (40 pound) bike. So while it might not work well for two big bikes, it might work okay for two smaller ones. It was exactly what I needed for one bigger than average, heavier than average bike.

USEFUL AND SPACE SAVING

Good construction. Staggering bikes front / rear really saves space. Collapses flat when not needed. Shrunk space required to store in outdoor shed. Handy storage space as well between bikes and wall
