This filter is functional, works well, and looks good!
I would have loved to buy the chrome colored one but when I bought my filter system - the chrome was $10 more - and I got an entire spare filter for that - so I had a big problem with feeling ripped off if I went for the chrome. Seriously - like $18.86 versus $30 bucks. So I settled for the white. My fridge is near the sink and it is white - so at least it matches something in my kitchen. Anyway - I had used Brita filters for years and years and years as they were available in BJ's and Costco - so super easy to pick up more filters. Then about a year and a half ago - my Brita just sort of burst and spewed water at me and all over my kitchen sink area. I then decided to try Culligan as Consumer Reports voted it the best sink filter - although it was quite a few years back when they were awarded that honor. Other reviews complained about the filter being hard to loosen to change - so before I even installed the system - I took the filter off and put it back on. I must admit the filter that came attached to the system was tight - but with a rubber dish glove on each hand for traction - I was able to get it off. When I put a new filter on I do tighten it securely - but don't go all Hercules on it - so I have had no issue getting the filters back off - again wearing a pair of rubber dish gloves for traction. Compared to my old Brita - the Culligan is SO much EASIER to use. Pulling the little pin out and then automatically having it retract when you turn the water off is so much better than Brita. Plus my Brita was always loosening and sometimes fell off the faucet because you had to handle the whole thing to turn the filter on. My Culligan has never ever loosed off the tap. Plus one handed operation is super easy. A huge plus for me is that my sink faucet is curved - so this Culligan system literally tucks out of my way fully under the faucet. If you have a curved faucet - totally get this - you will be so happy. Stays out of my way with cooking and doing dishes and everything - you practically do not even notice it is on the faucet at all because it is tucked away. The filters seem to last a loooooong time too - I just changed mine for the New Year - even though it was still decent after about 5 or 6 months. Change it when you need to, I say. Totally recommend - although I still have a HUGE problem with Culligan's insane mark up for the chrome colored system...

My Love-Hate Relationship with Culligan's Faucet Filtration Systems
I have been using these faucet filters for several years out of concern because our tap water is not great. I typically filter any cooking water through the faucet, and any drinking water gets a second filtration in the fridge (used to use Brita, now I have an Opti purification system) before consumption. I definitely think that the Culligan faucet filter works well WHEN you can get it installed correctly. There have been times when I have no problems at all, and other times when I am completely frustrated with the functionality of this filter. These are the issues: 1) The filtration unit installation is challenging at times. The connection leaks, drips, and sprays randomly. It's difficult to tighten the connection without OVER-tightening it. 2) Your faucet matters! I had a faucet with external threads when I started using this filter. It was much easier than my current faucet with internal threads. The adapter works (sometimes), but I have had a few near misses where the adapter was so tight that I had to struggle to remove it. 3) My BIGGEST issue is with replacing the filter. First you have to put in the effort of disconnecting the faucet mount from the faucet. As stated above.... that is not always easy to do. Once you do that, though, you then need to try to get the old filter out. I will allow that I am NOT a strong person. However... there have been times when it has been impossible for me to get the old filter out of the faucet mount. That is extremely frustrating for me, as my only option then is to start over with a whole new faucet mount (definitely a more expensive option). If you are able to remove the old filter and install a new one, then your chances of success are really good. You still need to ensure that you have a good connection between the faucet and the filter, though, because you need to re-install the faucet mount. I feel that I have willingly spent a lot of money on this system. I have multiple issues with the design and function. However... Doing whatever I can to ensure that the water we drink is of a better quality is what drives me.

Sturdy, great investment
For the last year, my tap water has a distinct metallic taste after it sits out for an hour or so in a glass. I got tired of refilling Brita pitchers and decided to try an on-tap filter. I initially purchased a Brita on-tap filter and liked it at first. After a few weeks of use, it ran slower, leaked regularly and often had to be hand-tightened. I felt disappointed in it and was hesitant to buy another brand. Eventually, I sucked it up and purchased the Culligan at the start of April and I've been so pleased. It takes up less space, runs quickly, turns back to your regular tap automatically and tastes great! No leaking, no tightening. Easy peasy. If you're considering one, try this.

Defective Product
The product was faulty and the switch for filter and unfiltered water was not working.

Easy to install and better tasting water
One of the best faucet water filters I've tried next to TAPP 1. Easy to install, good size, doesn't leak and good filtering (taste vastly improved). The replacement cartridges are a bit more expensive than expected but I guess this is how they make money.

Good filter
I've checked a lot on the differents models available on the market and this design, including the materials, is very well made. Easy to install and it comes with two adaptators which are very handy. Only bad side is that the output debit is low but I've read that this is common for three stages filtering. Pros: Great design Waste are avoided by pulling the switch which deactivate when closing the faucet valve Filter the water of Montreal to a drinkable water with a good taste...which is pretty much an exploit by itself No black residues in the water Cons: The low output can be annoying for somes. It takes me about 7-8 s to fill a cup of water.

Faucet filter Culigan
Easy to install as it came with 2 types of adapters. Ran water through it for 10 minutes and then drank from it and I could tell the difference straightaway as I couldn't smell the horrible smell left at the end each time I sip water. We were on ASDA bottled water, spending around £4 each week on water, due to scale in the water. We tried tap water but the smell and taste wasn't right. We didn't want to get rid of all the natural nutrients in water but stop the smell and change the taste to the same ASDA bottle water. This did the trick. Kids happy as well. simple to use. my 5 year old uses it with no difficulty. open the tap, pull the button out, water comes from filter, will up your glass, close the tap, the button goes back in automatically, so the water comes out of the tap next time.
