Assembly a pain but final product is nice.

The box containing the two lounges arrived and upon opening it I should have sealed it up and returned it. The pieces of one lounge were all wrapped nicely in bubble wrap, the other was not. That was a clue and I should have paid attention to it. The first chaise assembled with some difficulty (the "tool" is next to worthless, make sure you have an adjustable wrench of your own) but with some help from my assistant, Mr Jack Daniels, I was able to get it done in 15 minutes or so. When I attempted to assemble the second one I discovered one part was markedly bent which made the first step quite hard to complete as I had to muscle the bent part to make bolt holes align. Having spent way too much time on that already, I then discovered I was sent two left arms and couldn't complete the assembly. I am now working with Amazon to get the correct part and I'm sure they will handle it to my satisfaction which they always do. Having said all this, the one completely assembled piece looks quite nice and I'm sure will complement my pool area. My assistant and I look forward to relaxing on them soon.

Strange place to put a break in the fabric.

You can't see from the photo in the ad, but there is a break in the fabric at the point where the arm rests end, which is where the back of your thigh will rest on the seat. Usually the break in the fabric (if at all), is where the lower seat meets the back of the chair. Once seated, you don't really notice it, but at first glance, it looks like your tush might slip thru the opening. I got these chairs for a steal at about $200.00 for the pair, so I'll live with it. Aside from that, the chairs are sturdy and look great on my patio.

front legs are too short

It was easy to put together and nothing was bent but the legs are uneven on both chairs. On both chairs one front leg is 2 inches off the ground. they are not wobbly but they look funny. I don't really want to go to the trouble of returning the chairs but I am disappointed- they were not cheap. Really disappointed with the quality versus the price I paid- legs are 2 inches short and off the ground on both chairs. What happened during production and why are you selling something with a big flaw that is so difficult to return?

one chair was fine, the other was not. the last step is slipping the leg rest section into the body of chair. hole did not line up with "button". Rather than take them all apart and repkg both of them to return (no small task), my husband was able to file the hole bigger, make the adjustment necessary to make them work. not all people have the tools for that. and how are you to know its flawed until the very end.

Amazon please help me with this issue! One defective part!

Ordered the pair of chaise lounges. Huge box And a lot of parts to unwrap and lay out. First one was okay. Second one the right arm was cracked. Looking at instructions it said call manufacturer. After 40 minutes on hold I finally got a real person who told me that the right arm part I needed was not in stock and that I should call where I bought the chaises from. That would be AMAZON ... when I look at my options I have two choices. Either to replace or return the item- so, my only option is to rebuy two chaises! After the hassle and time it took to put these together the last thing we want to do is dis-assemble these and try to stuff them back in the box. No option to get just one replaced- no option to talk to anyone at amazon. Amazon did not charge for the replacement pair - with the condition that they receive the defective original order back within 30 days. RIDICULOUS THAT I HAVE TO TAKE APART A CHAISE LOUNGE AND STRUGGLE TO GET TWO CHAISES BACK INTO THE BOX!! THE DEFECTIVE ONE JUST NEEDED A NEW RIGHT ARM. PLEASE HELP ME AMAZON!

Not hard to assemble...regardless of what you read!

I almost did not buy this based on the number of negative reviews related to assembly. I realize that different people have different skill levels, but there is nothing wrong with these chairs. The directions are limited, but if you just look at the picture on Amozon, that is all you need to put them together. I would bet that those experiencing issues reversed the legs. Anyway, they are excellent and I would highly recommend them. I would recommend a wrench, the you wrench supplied is a joke. It does take a people to assemble these unless you have 4 arms.

Nice loungers for the money. Fairly easy to assemble. One of the loungers is off balance because of the legs but not a big deal to me. I purchased chaise lounge cushions from At Home store and they fit perfectly.
