Fast delivery. They are looking very nice in gold on our new hard wood floors. They blend easily. I wanted this type so my grandkids can’t remove the caps. You use a quarter.

DURABLE BUT MISSING PARTS

DIFFICULT TO LINE UP, NO BOX, NO OUTLETS, do not purchase, screws with item are wrong size, outlets sit 1/4 in off floor, cover plate has round holes and outlets are not the same size.

I have a good deal if experience with electrical installation and in me opinion the 4 screws to attach the plate to the unit are way too long. I had difficulty driving them all the way home without stripping the brass screw head. I used a much shorter screw.

Easy installation

Installed while laying a new 3/4 inch wood floor in my office. Contacted customer support due to missing screws for the face plate. They were very responsive and promptly sent out the missing screws.

Needed this for new "floor" recepticals in our living room.

Purchased this for professional electrician to install. He had some difficulty as we found our there were two hardwood floors in our new "old" home. He kept having issues but then found out he didn't read the instructions. Once he did it was smooth sailing. So, I would suggest reading the instructions. It is installed under a couch but it was professionally installed and appears as if it was always there. Good quality and aestically pleasing. Looks good on our cherry oak hardwood floors.

Save your money by elsewhere

I’ve been doing electrical for 25 years. And let me tell you this was the worst installation ever. You have to spend a lot of time modifying the receptacles so it sits flush to the floor. The style box they sent I didn’t even end up using. It’s just a two gang box to duplex receptacles, you’re paying money for the cover, I bought this because my local Lowe’s was out of stock and I needed it for a job sooner, very strongly recommend purchase at Lowe’s. The box they sent you has a ring so it’s it’s a lot better in the floor and makes a flush installation

Not what it is supposed to be

**I will add that once i notched the hardwood floors for the cover to be flush into, it looks good but it would be nice if the box was sealed as bugs live in it once its mounted. I'm not sure which floor box people are raving about.. the one I got is a metal 2 gang box which I can get at Lowes for $5. The cover is nice but the outlets don't fit in it. The cover sits about a half inch up off of the hardwood. This thing is junk. I bought it because the other recessed boxes had bad reviews. I guess the employees gave this one the good reviews. Don't buy it.

Should have read the critical reviews. Read this if DIY...

The product does what it claims to do BUT and this is a big BUT, be ready to spend a good chunk of frustrating hours if you're DIY installing this damn thing because A) Instructions are worse than Chinese written manuals B) Product is poorly designed and could have been a much simpler construction. Ultimately it's a metal box that needs to go through your floor. However, it's got freaking notches and screws sticking out which prevent a smooth descent. The template provided won't work throw it away. Then there are these stupid little foam shims that need to go in certain order. Somewhere there is also a metal plate that will go directly above the 20A outlet. Oh, and all these layers including the top plate, have to go together downwards so you can screw the whole damn thing. And ultimately when you are almost done, and getting ready to call it a victory, the screws will break on you and now you can't push this damn thing further down and stuck with not a good contact seal. Also, this does not include RJ45s which might have been an oversight on my part

Bad Install

This product was extremely expensive. A double gang box and 2 receptacles are nowhere near the price charged. It’s the cover plate that’s hard to find. There is no adjustment when installing, so the gang boxes must be installed at the exact height. If too high, the plate will not sit on the floor. If too low, there will be a space between the receptacles and the cover plate allowing dirt to enter.

Se rallan fácilmente la cubierta

De las pocas opciones de cajas dobles la otra opción es leviton la cubierta se ralla fácilmente y las tapas tipo moneda se atoran fácilmente y cuando se llegan a atorar y la quieres sacar de tan atoradas se dañan fácilmente se llegan a ver mordidas y ralladas
