Great quality

You can trust Blue Sea and this panel is no different than the rest of their line. I waited around and got 2 of them here for great discounts for my sailboat re-wire job. But even if you don't find them for cheap, you'll never be sorry once you open the plastic and feel the smooth solid clunk of those breakers. Everything works, everything lights up. A joy to wire up.

Plan for the future and build out your panel now

When I tried to install a couple extra breakers I discovered that DC bus must be loosened up and lifted out of the way to install expansion breakers. Even though the holes in the DC bus are "slotted", it is not possible to install expansion breakers without a bit of disassembly. I recommend you anticipate your future needs and pre-install breakers to fill up your panel before installing/wiring it to your house wiring. It's a few bucks of pre-investment, but will make your life easier in the long run. Otherwise, it is a well built panel.

LED Indicators mis-wired

The LED power indicators for the three additional breaker positions were placed in the wrong positions. Unfortunately I did not discover this until I had already had the panel installed for some time. Discovered it when I finally put breakers in the additional slots. The only way to fix Blue Sea Systems faulty installation was to snip the LED wires and re-terminate them and then re-connect them in the proper positions. Other than that, the panel is well made just poor assembly inspection.

Fairly expensive panel but holds up well.

I installed one of these panels in my boat about 15 years ago and it has held up well. The indicator lights, however, no longer work. I also recently replaced one of the circuit breakers which seemed to have become defective. The panel is rather expensive, however, and I also have a very much cheaper switch panel with fuses instead of breakers that likewise has held up well.

Blue Sea's is a good product,

The panel was just fine. The labels were missing and so was the cutout template. I called Blue Seas and they sent me the missing items for free.

This is exactly what I ordered and wanted. I researched first as I usually do. I find it odd though that we praise merchants for doing just what they should do. I guess we have come to expect second rate service and are delighted to recive the service we should expect. That said I did receive good service and will buy from this dealer in the future.

This is a well built high quality product. Installed two of them on my boat replacing a 30 yr old DC panels with cartridge fuses. BlueSea panels have backlight labels and circuit breakers which made great difference.
