What fuzzy baby?
If you are on the fence about this star, try it. It makes running errands and long drives a breeze, even with a fuzzy baby who does not enjoy being in the car seat. As soon as I turn the star on, he gets so distracted by the lights and quickly dozes off into deep sleep. I enjoy the songs, too, we've had this star for several months, and it has not become annoying in any way! Some toys will have music/sounds on repeat, and you'll want to turn them off... Not this one! We recently went to the grand canyon, and this star was a lifesaver! Even with frequent stops, my baby was unhappy, but this star shined and made the trip back home enjoyable.

Happy Face
My baby loves the happy face, songs and lights. It’s one of her favorite toys. The songs go on for a long time, so you don’t need to press a bottom to restart it every few seconds like most toys.

I have bought this toy for several newborns, and they all love this toy!! The classical music really seems to calm them down and the star also lights up and keeps them interested. All the new mommies that have received this have said it is one of their baby’s favorite toys.

Increased independent time
I forgot about this toy. I had it for my other kid 5 years ago. My son is a clingy baby and I was only able to put him down for 5 minutes at a time. Now I can do what I need to do for 20 whole minutes when I hang this up. He loves looking at the lights and listening to the music. Baby Einstein toys are my favorite.

Baby loves it - but wish it played more soothing music
My baby loves looking at this little happy face but I wish the music were a little more soothing. It's very high tempo classical. It's fine when she's kicking around under her gym, but I wouldn't want to use it when we're calming down for bed/naptime.

The best carseat/stroller accessory!
My son has been enamored with this little twinkling/singing star for months! It was the only thing that would calm him down when he was upset about being strapped into his carseat. Totally mesmerized by this thing! ???? It has 100% made car rides easier. He almost always fall asleep to the music. We bought one for his cousin for his 1st bday because he would lay with our son and they would look at it together in awe! Too cute.

Love it!
Going off other reviews I got this for my 3 month old, she's just started being interested in toys and she loves this, wish I brought it sooner. She interacts with this more than any of her other toys, she reaches for it, bats it and watches it quietly so I can get stuff done which was impossible before as leaving the room would result in screaming. It comes with batteries so up and running straight out the box. The lights move with the music and it has 2 volume settings. You can either have it on constantly which I do or there is another setting where it plays music if you tap it. It can be put pretty much anywhere with the Velcro loop (for me the bouncer and playmat are winners) and it's not too big. It's been on pretty much constantly but it hasn't started to annoy me like her other noisy toys, I think it's because the music isn't as sharp and brash as others. This has been a god send and will recommend to any parent.

Fun for the baby, but pricey and could be further improved
I bought this for my 3 month old boy and he seems to enjoy having it in his toy collection. General info: - Two modes, continuous melody playing and motion activation (when the star is gently knocked) - Lights up when active - Two volume control settings - Two fabric loops for attachment: one is a closed loop and the other is made of two fabric strips which sticks together via velcro tabs Pros: - Does attract the baby and encourages him to grab/reach out - The LED light dances around to engage him - We really enjoy having the two different modes, depending on how we want baby to play with it e.g continuous for entertaining in the car, or motion activation when hanging in his play gym to learn about cause and effect - Similarly, the volume controls are also very handy (one loud and one quiet) to allow adjustments to the noise level of the environment Cons: - In my opinion, on the more expensive side compared other baby products for what it is - The velcro loop is very weak and easily falls off, hence we don't use this one at all. We do however make use of the closed loop, by clipping our own bright start link to it so we can attach the star to other things - All corners are made of the same fabric, would be better if different fabrics are used so baby can develop his sense of touch on different materials

Engaging for babies as young as 8 weeks
Update: I’ve now had this item for around 6 months and can verify what other reviewers have said about the paint coming off. It hasn’t lasted very long at all and is now almost completely gone- see photo! Knocked it down from 5* to 4* because of this. My baby still loves and frequently plays with the toy, but I’m disappointed in the quality. Bought this for my 8 week old as he was starting to focus on objects and I noticed he tends to like looking at lights. I wasn’t disappointed with this toy, it engages him for 5-10 mins at a time at this age and he loves the flashing lights on the face. It has 2 volume settings & the options of constantly on or motion activated. As previous reviews have mentioned, the motion sensor isn’t very sensitive- a child would need to whack the face of the star, so my little one can’t do this yet, but I imagine it wouldn’t be a problem for an older child. I’ve had no issues with the paint on the face coming off like others have suggested.

Life saver
I asked some other mums for tips for a baby that doesn’t like the car and this was suggested. It has worked a treat and its worth every penny! It has a little strap and Velcro fastening so you can attach it to the car seat handle (or pram if you like). I turn it on as soon as she is in the car seat and it distracts her straight away. The middle part lights up different colours and it sings a few different tunes. There’s 2 settings- motion activated or continuous, and 2 volume settings. Even when it’s not on I have caught her staring and smiling at it! :-) One improvement would be if you could set it to display either just the lights or the music- perhaps for when you want them to fall asleep. Although my baby still falls asleep to it with both lights and music on, so that’s another plus!!

Brilliant my son loves it
My little one absolutely loves this! I tend to attach it to the toy bar of his chair as the toys on it don't grab his attention but this definitely does he reaches for it every time. I love that it has 2 modes as he likes to be constantly entertained which can be hard but I can actually go make a coffee now! ???? the continuous mode is great for that but the response mode is so good for his development & only requires a little nudge so perfect for little hands. To attach to his toy bar I just use an extra clip I have in the top loop, he easily grabs the fabric around the edges (only thing that could be better is if the fabric was sensory). I've found it's well worth the money it was exactly what I was after!
