THE FLAME!!! IT BURNS!!!!!

AWESOME!!! Ok, so this thing is NOT a toy. You have to feed it with at least a 40lb regulator, or it simply will not work. And I've found that it will drain a regular barbecue-sized propane tank in about 30 minutes, freezing it solid with an inch or two of ice. So I've hooked it up to a 100lb tank in a trashcan of water as a heat sink, and it works fantastically. I initially set it up with an air mixer, but it only made it super loud, and limited the flame to about 30% of what it became when I removed it. The air mixers available just aren't built for the flow this thing needs. Without the air mixer, it does soot a little bit, but it totally doesn't matter when you have a rocket engine for a fire pit. My setup of a 100lb tank and a 40lb regulator results in visible flames 10' high, with radiant heat 20 feet in all directions. My fire pit is nearly 50' across, so this is perfect. In the picture, you can see the weed burner blow torch I use to light it. That tank expires after 30 minutes of low flame with this burner. A 10lb regulator resulted in only half of the ring being able to be ignited at one time, so the flame kind of puffed back and forth in a lame whimper of non-manly disgust. Amazon sells a 40lb regulator, don't go with anything less.

These rings are absolutely phenomenal.! This is the 3rd one I've bought and they all work great. The quality has rewarded me with 6 years of use so far. I've posted pics of my fire pit conversions. The tables are from Strathwood and are perfect for my use. The smaller of the 2 is...was, is..... an ice bucket table that I converted into a small fire pit, while the larger table was a fire pit table, but was made for wood burning and the flying embers would tend to hit people sitting around the table even with the screen. I saw it as a law suit waiting to happen. I've also seen this used on beach setting buried under the sand connected to a long hose to the propane tank. It was better than trying to gather wood and left no burning embers when you left.

Improvement from the past reviews! Great product!!

Excellent looking product! I have not installed it yet, but just by looking at it the center hub appears to be pretty square with the rings. Burner ring also came with a plug and a wrench for the side that isn't used. The holes are all drilled and judging by the fuzz that had been hooked by a small bur, they even cleaned it up after manufacturing it. Perfect example of a company that responds to their reviews! I read several reviews before buying this that the hub was crooked or there was no plug for the unused side. Not only did they fix both of these, they made sure it was a quality product before it was sent out the door!

Great outdoor fire ring

Great outdoor fire ring. Seems like a standard regulator doesn't have enough pressure to drive the flames more than an inch or two. Higher output regulators shut down due to low back pressure. Need to try and find a sweet spot, 1PSI regulator is ok, maybe a fixed 4PSI would be perfect. Also, it doesn't say on the site or in the no instructions that you need an air mixer if you want to use propane. The same site sells Dreffco 150,000 BTU LP air mixture valve which will work

Great size for a deck table Fire pit.

We have a small deck table that is all ceramic tile topped and metal frame. It had a center bowl that you could put wood in to burn. I converted it to a propane flame system and this smaller ring was an exact fit. The flame is perfect and no smoke or ash to deal with. Probably will build a decorative cover for the propane tank now because the rest of the deck looks so good. Seems kind of "Redneck" to have a propane bottle sitting there. (Get a 10' hose instead of the 5') that was a perfect length for our application. If I had time to take a picture I would!

Just as expected, except

So far, so good. We'll see how well it holds up outside. I'm sure it will be fine, being Stainless Steel. The only unusual thing was the holes drilled in the rings were on one side on the outer ring and the other side on the inner ring. I'm not sure if this is their deseign or a flaw. I thought the holes were supposed to go down to prevent water from going into the ring and sitting there or going down the gas line. I didn't bother returning it or even questioning it. I put the inside ring holes down thinking that the gas would pass the inner ring and get to the outer ring easier. Works great.

Cheapest stainless burner ring you can find but don't expect quality

I ordered the 18" ring for our 32" fire pit and the size and flame quality look decent. The disappointment with this product was -1) A 1/2" MIP plug was not included so if you get this, plan on purchasing a plug because it leaves the end open and your ring is useless until you plug it. -2) The 1/2" FIP connection to the 4 ring arms is so crooked that I thought I was cross threading the burner ring on to my plumb gas riser. It's crooked enough that it's borderline embarrassing. If I wasn't going to bury this in lava rock I'd be sending it back. I will have to aim the high side of the of the ring a certain direction to balance out the flame. Very disappointing especially since the ring had a "QC PASSED" sticker on it. -3) Like another reviewer there were still drill shavings in the ring. I don't blame you if you get this since it the cheapest one online, but make sure you can make due with the 3 problems I had before ordering.

Perfect for use in NG outdoor firepit

I used this in my 30" circular firepit and it worked perfectly. Packaging job was great and all parts were present to install. Just need to add a 1/2" nipple to connect to your gas line. Just FYI, NG (Natural Gas) holes face up. LP (Liquid Propane) holes face done. Used lava rocks (fire pit not decorative lava rock) from Amazon and took about 50-60 lbs to get good coverage. Would take about 30-40 pounds of glass to do the same.
