Good target to shoot zeroing in

Love this action

I'm an air gun fanatic. I love to shoot and air guns have been in my blood since my early teens. I have recently gotten VERY into PCPs and shooting targets. I still missed my plinking days and have several spinners and silhouettes. This target fits both my plinking love with target love. It is super easy to set up (tie the strong on the ring and put in the stability stakes) and super easy to use (loosen the reducers and slide the desired one onto place). The target falls with a hit from my .177 Hatsan (it is putting pellets out there at 1100 fps) and resetting is as easy as pulling the string. I have not tried this with my lower powered PCP or any of my pump rifles yet (It is the middle of winter and I setup for a quick test). My granddaughter shoots with me sometimes and I think she is going to LOVE this target (she already loves shooting the spinners and the silhouettes). I'm going to get a few more of these and set up a mini field target course in my yard. 1 year update: Well this target has been through the ringer and back. It has never failed and is holding up amazing. We have easily put 500 pellets downrange at this and Zero problems. It will fall with a direct hit only. I also use a Beeman P17 at closer range with this and even the less than 3 fpe will knock it over. My granddaughter loves shooting this target (we have 4 total now) and has developed a very good eye and can out shoot Grandpa on a good day (she has done it twice this year). I do not leave these out in the rain so no idea how weather effects them. Winter has set in again so these have been put away for a while. The only maintenance I did was to hit them with a little silicon spray at the hinge points. They will need some paint in the spring (my granddaughter wants to paint them to look like the real thing lol)

Love this target. I wish I could find other animal figures for it.

I love this target for my pellet rifle. I have a break barrel pellet rifle (.177). It’s a perfect target for it and not having to walk over to it to reset it is awesome. Pulling the string to reset is very easy. The only thing I could not find is the different animal figures that it claims to have available for purchase.

Better choice than GAMO and you can make custom ones as well - see pics and description

I much prefer these over the GAMO squirrel. Those (the gamo ones) require you to upgrade the hardware that connects the linkage for the paddle. Air Venturi has actual nylon lock nuts on small metric bolts. Nice. With some plywood and a few cast iron pipe fittings from the local hardware store I made a turkey and a snake knock down target. Super easy to modify and they still fall with a 12 FPE rifle. Of course if you strike the wood you damage it, however, with the added protection of the pipe collar mounted to the target it can take hits all day long. For extra challenge I add two reducers. By itself it is a 3/4" opening. With one reducer it is now 1/2" and finally for the real challenge it can be made to be 1/4". I will be buying more to make some different designs. Understand what you are buying.

Be sure to understand what you are buying, the yellow disk behind the rat is what falls when hit, not the body of the rat. This may make the target a little less satisfying to hit for some shooters. On some similar targets the entire silhouette falls down when the target disk is hit. But at least with this target you do not need a string to reset it, so it is a trade off. The resetting mechanism works fairly well, sometimes you may need to hit it more than once, but it is pretty reliable. The metal is thick, and it holds up to PCP airguns. Realize you will need to repaint the disks from time to time.

GREAT TARGET

This has been on a shelf for almost a year. I got covid right after ordering. So I set it up this morning just before it started to rain (a lot). I was able to shoot from my covered deck and stay bone dry. ???? This works flawlessly with my 22cal pellet rifle. No assembly except to attach the reset sting. Wonderful product.

Great for shooting pellet guns!

This target works as described, allowing the target to be reset without having to manually reset it each time. As your skill improves there are smaller apertures to make it more challenging. It is well made and heavy enough for years of fun. The bullseye will need touched up which is to be expected as it is repeatedly hit. A simple can of high viz spray paint or stickers takes care of that. Note: It is intended only for lead pellets and not alloy ones.
