Rock-solid results if you use it right
The media could not be loaded. I utilized this adhesive on a piece of SMC from a torn semi-tractor hood I've been stuck reconstructing. It got ripped into 8 or 9 pieces that I've had to reassemble using SMC resin, fiberglass mat and cloth, and of course some 3M products like this one. While Volvo insists on Fusor adhesives only (I take that to be Lord Fusor T23 for semi tractors) I did use 3M 08116 to refasten the hood to its support structure. When I ran out of that, I had this 08219 and used it next. You can see that I applied it to the broken piece and the place where it was going; instead of clamping I used drywall screws to secure the piece for the 3M adhesive to cure. When I came back the next day and removed the screws, the piece was solidly attached (see video). The SMC (sheet molded compound) that the hood (and this broken piece) are made of call for SMC-specific adhesives and treatments; I would never use regular fiberglass resin from a chain parts store on this hood, for instance. This product is aimed at bonding SMC and regular fiberglass (FRP) panels, and bonding those panels to metal frames as long as you use a "two-part" primer, which I take to be an epoxy primer. In any case, since I was working with SMC, I felt good about obtaining this product for the work and so far it's proven itself a winner with a rock-solid results. The applicator gun used was 3M Manual Cartridge Applicator, 08571. I was shaking my head all day long at the guy in the reviews here who said it didn't work but got all over his hands. Maybe he needs to take a course, since in my experience he was quite wrong.

Worked great and solid as a rock
Used to bond extensions on older Harley fiberglass saddlebags. Worked great and solid as a rock! Just make sure you have the proper application gun.

Leaking
Recieved product and right out of the box it was leaking and not sealed on one side. It was still usable, but made a disaster.

Sticks to me, nothing else
This stuff does not work on Corvette SMC. It does stick to skin and is probably carcinogenic, but have no fear, it will not stick to fiberglass. Garish blue color when mixed. Requires a $77 adhesive gun to mix properly and dries faster than it can be applied. Waste of time and money.
