Absolutely amazing!!

Super Comfortable But Not Durable

I bought these having high expectations for safety. On that they delivered. I recently fell while on my Boosted Board on 3rd Ave in NYC. After trying to run off my fall, I hit my knees and wrists (also protected). I then fell to my elbows (protected with 187 elbow pads) and then unfortunately slid on my belly. As a result, I have nasty road rash and a big bruise on my side. But my knees and elbows (both protected by 187 gear) were completely unharmed. In fact, I barely felt the fall and thought my side was going to be just fine. The nasty bruise is evidence that I actually took a big fall (see picture). However, I also bought these have high expectations for product life. On that they are weak. The top straps are elastic and are made well. The bottom straps are woven plastic and are very weak. They have been fraying since Day 1. After my fall, the plastic plates are barely damaged but the buckle for the bottom straps are in bad shape. One of them frayed almost completely through. It's too bad! I bought the 187s because I expected the replaceable plates would wear through before the rest of the gear. I guess that isn't the case.

Protected knees, fearless

Let me say this, you could fall off a ledge at the grand canyon an if you landed on your knees you'd be fine. They do look a bit bulky, but safety gear has never looked....cool. Heres the thing though, if you really want to improve your sport, few of falling is the biggest reason you hold back an don't give it a real shot. That tick or those moves can be accomplished, but fear is a problem. These give you confidence to be okay with falling.

Great choice for OneWheel

When I bought my OneWheel, I spent a lot of time looking for the right protection. After reading multiple reviews, I decided to purchase these Knee Pads (as well as their elbow pads). I couldn't be happier! I've taken some serious falls and not only do these things protect my knees, they also cushion the impact.

Wise Choice

I purchased these pads to practice haunt sliding, and I am not disappointed in anyway. The seller shipped these bad boys out faster then I anticipated, I was expecting them a good week or so later but to my amazement I got them in a few days. I just need to find the correct Recaps for when the time comes.

Hands Down the Best!

I've had a couple different brands of protective gear and the 187 Killer Pads - Pro line is by far the best I've ever owned. I am head-to-toe in 187 gear for Derby and it has been a game changer for sure. I recently purchased the same gear for my 9-year old daughter as she learns how to skate. I would recommend this product to anyone!

They are great design however the ones I got were not the same as pictured and they ran a little small. I had to go up to the XL after I returned these. They also did not come with the cleaning solution that was listed as well. I did not re-buy them from Amazon. I went to Bruised Boutique and I also got them on sale with another set of plastic caps included, I chose Grey. I love these pads and they fit great just beware of what you buy and make sure they are what you ordered.

So Cushiony, but also too large for me

The pads provide incredible cushioning for the knee. I measured my knee/legs according to the manufacturer's sizing guidelines. However, the size was just too big for me and even when I had them as tight as possible, I could feel my knee shift within the padding. I kept the pads because I practiced in them a few times before "giving up" and realizing they just don't fit me properly. If I ordered these again I would choose a size or two smaller than what the measurements indicate.

Great buy

These are a better option than most “slip on” pads to wear over pants, they use 2 Velcro straps so you don’t have to wear them as shoes and pull the over to your knees like socks, compared to the regular pads they are more flexible so it’s easier to keep your elbows straight.
