I bought this for Les Mills BodyPump since I can’t attend the classes at my gym anymore. It’s a little less than $40 under the LM brand. I’m reviewing it because I was nervous on buying this or duct with no revives to guide me, so I wanted to help out someone who’s considering this but likes reviews how I do. It arrived 2 days earlier than expected. Simple packaging (packaging wrapped in a plastic covering. The risers are already connected so it’s good to go out of the box if that’s your preference. . I haven’t tried to take them off so I can’t speak on the ease or functionality of that I’ve only used this for two different LM workouts, so I can’t speak on durability either. I will update accordingly. I was doing the workouts at home without the bench and now that I use it, I can honestly say it makes a difference on the entire workout for the better. It can be used for various workouts no matter what you’re into. It’s sturdy and solid. It holds and comfortably supports my back, and it stays secure and in place when I use it for push ups and other exercises. The material feels like a combo of rubber smoothed out on a solid surface if that makes sense?! It’s firm, yet gentle on the back. It looks almost identical to the LM one(from what I’ve seen online). It’s heavy but not so heavy that it can be easily picked up and moved during your workout. It doesn’t look or feel cheap and it’s perfect for what I need it for. I’m glad I bought this.

Heavy and heavy duty

This is a solid step and I don't think it is going to give out any time soon. But with that sturdiness comes weight, just the platform is fairly easy to maneuver, but once you start adding the risers that thing gets heavy. That is not a complaint, merely an observation so that readers can make an informed choice. Many other reviews and questions mention separating the risers. This does require some finger strength but they do come apart. I have found that if you locate one of the locking pegs and focus on pulling just one out, the remaining ones are easily levered out. I am only a month in to using this platform but it is great for step workouts. The kids love playing "The floor is lava" using the platform and risers, and I even bought an extra pair of risers to give them more 'rocks' to step on. One thing to note when using the platform at an angle is that it only works with 1 or 2 risers to elevate one side. More than that and the risers don't sit flat on the floor. Overall this is the best step platform I have ever owned thanks to the fact that it is sturdy, versatile and when you factor in those positives, the price is worth it for what you get out of it.

Sturdy. Exactly what I was looking for.

I bought this for my home gym and it works perfectly. You can stack the steps/risers in 2 different locking modes. The first being like traditional step where the risers just sit on eachother in a groove, or these will actually lock together. The lock is firm and secure. Give a good tug and pull to get them apart when you're ready to adjust (you won't break them). Its sturdy, the grip design is flat and doesn't bother me at all when I lay on it for hip thrusts or like a bench. Also, I like that its easy to find extra risers. The with the original aerobic steps, the risers alone were a pain to find and came in all different size measurements. I didn't want to buy something that wasn't going to fit together. EDIT: I purchased additional steps. They fit perfectly, great shape. However: the reviews and answers to the question "how many risers included in the '1 set' vs '2 set'?" were mixed. I was hoping for 4 risers for $50+. It is a set of 2 risers, not 2 pairs of risers. So that is disappointing. Not going to diminish the star rating because quality is still there, but I think the price is a bit high for additional risers.

Safest, sturdiest and most cost-effective - Just like Les Mills without the cost.

Since I just don't feel safe at my gym because of COVID19, I decided to equip a home gym for aerobics and light workouts. I enjoy step aerobics but didn't want to shell out $170 for the Les Mills equipment like they have at the gym. First, I bought a little $40 step without realizing it was a LITTLE step. I just didn't feel confident stepping on and off from it. It was too small to be sturdy. Then I bought the Yes4All club adjustable aerobic platform. It was NOT good. It "gave" in the middle when stepped upon and squeaked horribly with every step so finally, I purchased this step. This is premium Yes4All step is EXACTLY like the Les Mills step but considerably less pricey. It is very, very sturdy. It does not move, it doesn't squeak and I feel confident with every step. I use it while playing the step videos included with Amazon Prime and now I will never take another step class away from home again. I like the prime videos much more than the gym instructors and this step is every bit as good as the pricey gym equipment.

The media could not be loaded. I've worked out with step platforms here and there but mainly at the gym. I purchased this platform for use at home. I was surprised by how large it is, and because of its size it's kind of heavy to lift (esp out of the box) the platform with 4 risers attached. This may be a downside depending on how much you want to work to move the platform before you get started on your work out. The platform is solid and very sturdy, it looks cool, almost like alien tech. The rubber on the surface and on the feet of the risers contributes to the sturdiness giving it anti-slip capability. I had some difficulty figuring out how to remove the risers but got the hang of it. Maybe it will be helpful. Vid attached.

Very sturdy but hard to remove risers

Very sturdy, well made step. It doesn't "give" when you step on it like many others. Platform is nice and wide, comfortably fits larger foot (11-12). The one major problem is that it is incredibly difficult to remove the risers. They lock in well, too well!, and it's hard to get your fingers in to release them and you have to pull VERY hard. Makes it impossible to quickly change height.

Step up your fitness routine

Pros: This is a very solid and full sized step platform, meaning you won't lose your footing and it won't tip over while you're using it. Risers can lock into place nothing wobbles and you can stack everything together neatly in one unit. Risers can also be used on their own as mini platforms. The design is very much like the Les Mills version, but in my opinion looks a lot nicer. Rubber feet won't scratch your floors and ensures that the platform stays in place while in use. Great value for your money - if you wait for it to come down in price. This version was going for over $200 at one point but I watched and waited - eventually it came down to $172 and that's when I snapped it up. Cons: This is a very heavy step platform, which can be a good thing because that's what makes it safe and solid (a pro). But the weight also makes it not portable, so I have to store it in my living room where I work out. I would've loved to store it in the basement but there's no way I can lug this thing up and down the stairs - that in itself is a difficult workout. There are no instructions and there's a steep learning curve to popping the risers on and off. I thought, how hard could it be to figure out? As it turned out, it was actually very hard lol. Luckily, there's a very helpful review below by someone named TC who demonstrates how to pop the risers apart, which I had to watch a few times before I finally figured it out. Make sure to expand the video to full screen so you can easily see how she does it. TL; dr: this step is beautifully designed and solidly made. If you're looking for a quality step platform, you won't find a better one (including the Les Mills one) than this.

Great for BodyPump!

I love this step. Very sturdy and the locking risers make it easy to move during a workout. Mainly use it for BodyPump and stretch classes. My one complaint is that it did not come with instructions on how to add or remove the risers.....this is an issue because there is a definite knack to it and it took me more than a few uses to figure it out. Otherwise highly recommend.
