Nice Cutting Board
Recently put my old cutting board on the stove top and forgot to turn off a burner that was on low. Needless to say I need a new board. I bought this one and it is great. Right size, well built, and built in the USA.

Exactly what you need for trimming briskets
This cutting board is the perfect size for trimming up 16# packer briskets. Not only does it provide enough real-estate for trimming, it's also super heavy. The weight means it stays put, so you won't fight the board and your cold slab of meat. I've found this board very easy to clean and also very tolerant of slicing meat fresh off the pit. Now, this board is made of soft wood. If your knives are sharp and good quality you're going to put marks on this board. That's how cutting boards are supposed to work. The gouges get deep enough this board is thick and solid enough you could sand/plane the surface and re-seal it with some food-safe oil or beeswax. Using this board to slice hot BBQ, mine gets a healthy treatment of hot tallow every other time I use it. I would love to have a BBQ table this board could just slide into for the work surface.

it was the perfect add-on to my BBQ
When I started looking for a cutting board, it wasn't for the kitchen. It was intended as an "extension" to my Fire Magic BBQ. The model I have has two stainless tables on each side. And with both in the up and locked position, and in my BBQ area, I had about 20 inches remaining to the right side wall. And I really needed more table space while prep'ing and bbq'ing. The Winco cutting board that I received was exactly as described on the Amazon page. Beyond that, I could see that the wood was indeed hard enough to stand up to my collection of knives. Nearly 2" thick, it was the perfect add-on to my BBQ. I should add that I priced boards at Bed Bath and Beyond, as well as every store that had kitchenware. This was the best board at the best price. You can see from the photos how I placed the new cutting board into my setup. What you can't see are the nearly twenty 3" long, brass plated screws that hold the board to the stainless table along the common edge. I drilled through the stainless, and then drilled pilot holes in the board so that the screws would not shear from over-torque when screwing them into the very hard wood. In addition, I have two custom made supports under the board, resting on top of the refridgerator. There are also two adjustable screws on the right side of the board that hold the entire BBQ tight against the block wall on both sides. For fifty dollars, and even though I have a very well inventoried workshop, I could not have built as good a board. This was the best value, while also being exactly what I needed. Oh... why not "5-Stars?" Nothing in life is "perfect", right? (well... OK... except for our "better half!")

World's best wooden cutting board
I've had this wooden cutting board for several months, and absolutely love it. The natural wood grain and heavy, thick, sturdy construction is not only a daily, useful tool for my busy kitchen, but it also adds beauty to the aesthetics of the space. I find the board easy to clean, and use. I grew quite frustrated from my previous cutting boards slipping around on the counter during use, but not this one. It stays put. Highly recommended.

THIS THING IS A MONSTER!
Beautiful piece of wood. At first I thought it was ASH, but then I read somewhere that it could be Rubber wood. After doing some research, I think it might be Rubber wood. I cut this thing down and installed it on a rev a shelf heavy lift. At almost 2" thick it was pretty heavy for the lift. I was able to cut off several inches on 3 side and use my router to round the edges again. After some sanding and subsequent oiling with food safe mineral oil, it looks even better than when I received it. Some people have stated that it has Lacquer on it, but mine was saturated in some sort of oil. I washed mine down with acetone to remove all of the oils, modified it, sanded all surfaces and then re oiled it. My guess is that they also used food grade mineral oil, but who knows because they didn't specify,. It would have been nice to tell us what wood species and what finish is applied, but after looking at the product and cutting into it, I I believe that my observations are on track.

Quality cutting board
We had a small cabinet that we needed a countertop for and this piece was perfect. We had to modify it by cutting a couple of inches off of it but the quality etc is great

Extremely good value.
This is a heavy, durable and very well put together cutting board. Similar quality boutique cutting boards may run several hundred dollars, but in those cases you are paying for pricey wood that does not do anything better than this simple board. It is very large, sturdy, and heavy, which are absolutely wonderful qualities for a long life durable cutting board. I have used the smaller version of this board for 7 years now without any issues, and I expect this one will similarly last basically forever.
